The Rookery South

I'm in the area on vacation.. I liked the course. I play the senior tees and it was not overly long and very playable. A couple of tricked up holes. I think it's #4. Only about 130 yards to a lake or over 200 to carry the lake. Short iron off the tee. Par 3's were good. 5 of them from 95 yards to 180. Some crossover with other players hitting into our fairway and a couple of shots from our group going into other fairways. Played with 3 local guys. Very friendly. Between 9's they have a tent set up for refreshments so you don't have to go into the clubhouse to get something to eat or drink. Saw cart girl 3 or 4 times. Overall, enjoyed the day. Will probably play it once more before I head home.

Rookery is one of my favorite courses…been playing there for almost 20 years.

Have played the Rookery a few times over the past several years - now a full time DE resident and plan to play 2-3 times a month!

Staff was very friendly. Course conditions were fantastic; greens a little slow but rolled well. Pace of play was slow but ranger moved the group in front of us up at the turn.

The pro shop is small but there are some amenities like the driving range.

Course layout has some interesting aspects; front nine has short par 4’s that are risk reward. Back 9 is longer with a more straight ahead layout. No elevation changes.

This is a solid course and worth a look.

Really enjoyed this course. Played with a few local members that were a joy to be with. Corse was in great shape and pace was better than most. Only thing I would comment on was there were no yardage markers on the tees and just the standard 200, 150 and 100 in the fairway. Not being familiar it was hard to know accurate yardages. Other than that it was awesome.

Traveling from PA for a vacation and wanted try a few courses in in area. It was conveniently located and I was pleasantly surprised with the shape and difficulty of the course. Would definitely play again and recommend to anyone visiting and looking to get a good round in.

Great golf course close to Rehoboth beach , first time we played today and found it to have a great layout. Not a lot of forced carriers, a great vacation round of golf .... well done Rookery

Generally the course was in very good shape. Greens were soft and putted true. Overall a very positive experience.

Located right on US 1 10 miles North of Rehoboth Beach, DE, this course is a favorite for either a first round or last round of many golf trips! Pretty much a wide open layout, so you would think there isnt too much trouble to be had. Not true. If the winds are over 10 mph, it plays havoc with your approach shots. Fairways, tee boxes and greens were in great shape. Greens played faster and are more challenging with the array of pin placements than the last time I was here many years ago. Three putting is common here unless you know the course very well. Always a good value for the money here compared to other courses in the region.

Challenging course, some water, environmentals, and sand. Pace was very slow, lots of golfers out on a beautiful day. Greens were tough due to short grass and pin placements

The course was in good shape. The greens were receptive and rolled well.

Unable to review the course as I spent my day awaiting test results from a possible exposure yesterday., also unable to cancel my reservation yesterday as well So that sucked c2.
