The Rookery South

Excellent value; staff was great, course and conditions were great, had a really nice visit here. It’s on my list for return visit to the area

Play this course almost every time we visit Delaware. We were paired w/a wonderful gentleman from England. Course was as expected and we will be back.

Good first experience. Not much course info provided so bring a range finder. Some holes are very short but a good mixture overall. You can score well on this course if you are having a good day.

I was in Lewes for a week, during which I played The Rookery three times. I played several other courses as well, which led me to conclude that The Rookery is the best value option for this area. Other courses are significantly more expensive without offering much more in terms of challenge level or course quality. The Rookery isn't a world-class track but it's a good, fair layout that will test your game without pushing your limits. It's mostly a flat track but wind, rough, and hazards offer sufficient challenges. Conditions were good when I visited in early September, and pace of play was reasonable. I enjoyed all three rounds I played there and would recommend this course to friends without hesitation.

You wouldn't pay $75 to play this course at home, but you're at the shore where everything is more expensive. The course has a few argues about it: a short par four that requires a seven iron off the tee, three par fives and three par threes on the back nine, one part for dogs like it doesn't quite work because trees block half the green. But by and large, this is a well laid out well-maintained course thatdoesn't cost an arm and a leg to play.

Packed house but pace of play great. Got hooked up with the best group of guys & had a great round.
