Could have been better
Played on a nice day in December. The course definitely could have been cleaner. Cart paths were pretty rutted. We drove an hour there and I wouldn’t drive that long again. There are better courses

The Rookery is a Precious Gem
I have played this course for the last 10 years and it never disappoints. You hit every shot in your bag and there are tons of risk reward shots out here. Try to drive number 4 or lay up, same with 5. Awesome Course!, great bargain in the off-season.

We will be back!
First time playing here. Drove up almost an hour from southern OC. It was well worth the drive. Fast pace of play. Slick greens but in excellent shape. Pretty open fairways. Enjoyed our windy, sunny round.

When I checked in I was not told to start on #10 so I waited at #1 until someone finally let me know (and the starter rode over to #1 to find me) which meant I was a few minutes late and the other two golfers looks a bit irritated that they had to wait. Not a great way to start off a round.
