About
Bowes Creek Country Club is situated on the western edge of Elgin amidst gently rolling hills. The golf course enjoys an idyllic setting, sprawling across lush farmland accented with stands of mature trees, natural wetlands, and rocky bluffs. The layout incorporates the natural hazards provided by the terrain but massive, sweeping bunkers were also strategically placed throughout for added challenge. Tall fescue grasses edge the face of the bunkers as well and the undulating terrain guarantees that you will come across a few uneven lies. The trickier elements of the golf course are balanced by expansive, player-friendly fairways that offer a little room for error. In addition to the golf course, Bowes Creek C.C. also boasts a comprehensive practice area with an elevated, 30-station driving range with target greens at varying distances, and putting and chipping greens.

Terrible Bar Experience
Course is excellent !! Play there with friends every few weeks.
Bar was awful today !
Music was playing that teenagers like my kids enjoy but NOT what middle age people listen to.
Waited exactly 35 minutes for sandwiches and at that point left !
No cart girl and outdoor snack place closed

Bowes creek
Course was expected to be wet and cart path only but I didn't expected the range to be closed got there early to practice before hand but could not do because range was closed no warning on the web site about it ranger being closed.over all course was in good condition

A very happy Cuban Golfer
The course was a bit out of my way living in Elmhurst, but it was worth the drive. The course was very beautiful and challenging . I will defenetly continue to go back. The course has beautiful nature preserves was able to see fantastic wild life .

Country Club Atmosphere Open to the Public
First class operation. Extremely friendly staff. Course conditions were excellent. Course is manageable if played from the correct tees. Choose the wrong tees and the course will bare its teeth. Great merchandise selection with fair prices. Greens fees were very reasonable. Definitely worth a return trip.

Great course, layout challenging but fair. Greens don't hold up well near Cup area.

If they could clean up the greens a bit this would be much better.
Course layout great, course conditions fair
The course layout was fun. Pace was great. Very challenging par 3’s. The reason I give fair conditions is for the fact of the conditions of the course. The greens were beat up and bumpy, maybe from poor ball mark repairs?. The first cut fringe off green was very shaggy and uneven, making it impossible to putt from fringe. Entire course was absolutely soaked, mud balls in fairway plugged all day. For “fall” rates stilI at 59$ during the week, I expected the course to be in a better shape. Definitely would play this track again though. Beautiful course and layout!!
Phenomenal Course
Bowes Creek is a phenomenal course! I enjoyed it greatly despite not playing my best, which is always hard to do. Looking to get out there again and go low next time! Very challenging, but you can score if you're on.
Great Golf Expderience
Bowes Creek is an excellent golf course. The holes are very scenic and well laid out. Sand traps are in excellent condition, however, I'd prefer a more manicured lip on the traps. The course can be played at any level of difficulty depending upon tee selection. The white tees at 5942 yards is deceptively difficult with a 69.5/133 rating. The tips stretch out to 6794 yards and a 73.4/142 rating. It's also a nice to have a course that still provides free range balls. On hot days they bring out iced towels.
Back Nine Blues
Way too long on back nine. Pick up my ball on 18, could not take it anymore.

my favorite course in illinois!! dont play it that much because its usually pretty pricey for me but caught an unbelievable hot deal that i couldnt pass up. very happy i didnt the course is beautiful i wouldnt call it easy but it is pretty wide open.i usually have a problem with slicing my drives at least at this course i have a fighting chance of the ball being playable. I do have to say the greens were pretty chewed up only because of people not repairing their ball marks, other than that the place is pristine. the staff is so friendly, everyone i talked with!!! great course and cant wait to play it again.
