Bowes Creek Country Club

There had been mixed reviews from other golfers about this course regarding conditioning, value for money etc. I found the course to be very enjoyable, the staff very friendly, and overall experience really wonderful.

This course plays like two courses. The front nine is nothing like the back nine. The front plays like a conventional course with nice landing areas even for errant shots. The back plays like a crazy links course with narrower fairways, lots of grass and water.

The only negative about this course is the driving range. The tee areas were brown, dry, hard, not watered.

I will be back to try this course again now that i know what I am getting into.

Came out on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Unfortunately we went out behind an outing that was an hour ahead. Pace of play got real slow an hour in. Took 5 hours to play. I understand it’s a very challenging layout to which I enjoy. Was very difficult to find get any rhythm going waiting every shot. With that being said I played Bowes for years and it’s one of my favorite layouts. The greens were beat up and slow for this course. I’ll just chalk it up to a bad day and give it another try maybe later in the fall. Was we worth &45. Hopefully that’s not why it’s that price.

Guys get a beer cart, keep the turn open, get a cooler when we check in. something

It is like pulling teeth to get a drink in the afternoon during the week, Help a guy out.

Food and bar staff always seem understaffed and running around in circles. Taps were down, come on, food took 40 min.

Step up your game in those areas and it would be a top notch course.

Mitzi, Steve, and Jody were very helpful and friendly. Great course. Very challenging.

We booked a Hot Deal on what turned out to be an extremely hot day. Showed up early and nobody was at the first tee, and we tee'd off about 30 mins early, which was nice given the heat. Course was in good condition following heavy rains, with the stationary fans the course has working. Amenities at the turn were spectacular as always; not rushed. Friendly group outing ahead of us let us play through at 15. Will definitely be back.

This was the second time playing Bowes Creek as I played it earlier in the year when it was cold and raining. Todays weather was much better. This is still by far one of the most challenging courses to play. Long par 3's and elevated tees and greens. Some bunkers are deep that protect the green and water comes into play on several holes. In addition from the Blue tees there are some long carry over water and natural habitat.. Hats off to the bartender Jason who I met from a previous time and gave me some insight before my round on certain holes and what to expect. This help manage and maneuver those holes. Bowes Creek provides first class service from the check in to the staff that cleans your clubs after the round. The course is picturesque but don't let that fool you and there are some risk reward holes. I've enjoyed playing Bowes Creek for the second time and looking forward to playing it again. It can be pricey unless you find a good GolfNow price, but still worth the time. The 19th hole food is excellent.

Felt like we got the full country club experience from start to finish. Course was in great shape. Greens were hard and fast. Beer cart was out which seems like a rarity on most courses during the week. Overall great experience. Can’t wait to go back.

Great layout and the course was in great shape. My only complaint is that the greens need to be rolled more often of people just need to do a better job on ball marks.

Always a treat to play Bowes Creek. Great course and great staff!

This was was my fifth time playing. The course conditions have gone down a little in the last three years from what I remember but still good comparatively to other public courses around. No complaints about anything except the head pro. Ladies in the pro shop are very nice, but I highly recommend avoiding Mike Lehman as he was condescending and rude. Makes you not want to come back even though its a good course.

Compared to other golf course Bowes creek is one of the best course I ve ever played. Very competitive and outstanding . I recommend it to other golfers to try it and, am positive they will like it and be impressed. So, golfer try Bowes creek and you’ll like it.

First time playing Bowes Creek, and despite the weather conditions of light rain and cold, it was a delight to play this course. It was somewhat challenging but not a long course. Although the holes changed constantly. What is deceiving is once you play the front nine and you feel good about the course then you hit the back nine and the layout completely changes. Precise shots are key and not sure if it was just that day, but you have to contend with the wind coming from all directions. Some of the par 3's even from the white tees require smart shot selection especially with wind. Enjoyed the 19th hole and the service from the moment I walked into the Pro Shop was exceptional. I was treated as if I was a member of the country club. I found a great deal on GolfNow, however it would be worth the experience to pay the normal course rate. This is definitely one course that will be on my play again list.
