White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park
About
White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park is a challenging but playable layout that is well known amongst locals. At just over 7,000 yards, the golf course offers a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards come into play on most holes, demanding several difficult forced carries. There are also some spots on the course that can be quite narrow. The terrain is mostly flat but the layout provides enough diversity to appeal to both low and high handicappers. White Clay Creek has a strong reputation not only for the golf course but also for its various amenities, which give it the feel of a private club. Staff assists you with getting your clubs to and from your car and use of the driving range and chipping green are included in the reasonable fee.

Great track! Challenging layout. Greens in very good shape and quick even in Jan. Pro Luke is great and very accommodating! We will return!
Great Day
Great day to finish out the year GOLFING. THANKS TO THE FOURSOME FROM JERSEY THAT LET US PLAY THROUGH👍
A Jewel
Moved from NJ to DE about a year ago. Have played this course about 4 times. Challenging, but not impossible course. I have played as late as Black Friday two years in a row and found the course in excellent shape including the greens.
Every hole makes you think. You can't just grip it and rip it. Every staff member listens to you, has time for you and wants you to be happy that you are there.
I agree, this is a public course with a private course vibe. It's worth trying out if you haven't played here.
Decent course
I do like this course. Not terribly overwhelming. decent length. Way over priced. This is a good $60.00 course in perfect conditions.
Always a Pleasure
This is one of my favorite tracks It demands accurate shot-making and course management. They do a wonderful job of maintaining the course. Luke, in the Pro Shop, is always hospitable, even in the face of adversity.
The course was on a Frost Delay and many customers were not happy, but he handled the situation with tact and professionalism..
I always look forward to playing here.
Great Course
Beautiful course on complaint was that could not get anything to eat or drink. Everage cart never showed up
Might be the toughest course I have played. Course condition is one of the best that
The course is in very good condition. It's a challenging course. Almost every hole has one or two hazard neat tee box or close to the green. Need good strategy to play this course. The staff are very nice.
Likely due to number of players on the course and also the number of underprepared golfers, the pace was not good. I plan to play this course again during a weekend.
best course in the tri -state area
This course is the best course I have played in the tri-state area. The greens were fast and very challenging. I had a hot deal for $ 52.00. The fairways are in excellent shape, as are the greens. I have never seen a practice area this big. sand traps , chipping areas , putting greens and driving range were in perfect shape. The staff are very friendly. This a demanding course , I played from the white tees and it chewed me up.
Beautiful
This is one of the nicest courses I have played. Immaculate condition throughout the course. Great practice and warm up area. This course may have been a little beyond my skill set though. As a 20 handicap approaching 60 some of the holes were really tough. Course management and controlling your shots are very important. If you want to bomb away and tend to spray the ball you may not enjoy this.
Worth the trip
I'm not a complainer, I promise. I drove from Annapolis and teed up with two members for a 7:50 tee time and no one ahead of us. I ended up playing solo after the 3rd hole only to be told no and to wait for the two members by a ranger/starter by hole 9 because maintenance was affected by my pace of play. Initially I was apologetic but I feel that by 930/10am, maintenance should have completed their morning duties. I say that with 4 years experience of golf course maintenance at a 27-hole course. I assumed maintenance would start at or just before daylight, my mistake. Regardless, our pace was still above average. Staff was pleasant and welcoming and amenities were as expected. Loved the driveable par 4s, the GPS and the challenge of forced carries. I'd definitely consider making a trip back.
Hard summer
The summer has taken a small toll on overall conditions. That being said, still one of the best places to play in northern Delaware. 5+ hour rounds in heat and humidity never helps.
I hate to admit it…
This course is too tough for me. I like everything about it, except that I’m not skilled enough to really be able to enjoy it. The layout is interesting, the course is in great shape, the folks who work there are great, and even the restaurant is fine. But I lost a dozen golf balls, and just got overwhelmed. I can usually break 100, so as you can guess, I have some stretches where I play pretty well during a round and then stretches where the wheels fall off and you move on. At White Clay Creek, I just couldn’t string anything together. The course has all the things that eat up like golfers like me, lots of water in the form of streams, ponds and wetlands; forced carries from the tee, the fairway and the approach; and tight, tree-lined and woody rough. And yet I love this course. It makes me want to be a better golfer.
