White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park
About
White Clay Creek Country Club at Delaware Park is a challenging but playable layout that is well known amongst locals. At just over 7,000 yards, the golf course offers a fair amount of challenges. Water hazards come into play on most holes, demanding several difficult forced carries. There are also some spots on the course that can be quite narrow. The terrain is mostly flat but the layout provides enough diversity to appeal to both low and high handicappers. White Clay Creek has a strong reputation not only for the golf course but also for its various amenities, which give it the feel of a private club. Staff assists you with getting your clubs to and from your car and use of the driving range and chipping green are included in the reasonable fee.

Great Course. Slow play
Got twilight rate. Course is great and in awesome shape. Lots of irons off tees (played the whites). Front nine pace was fine. Back nine was atrocious. A member of our group quit after 12 due to it. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Awesome Course but know your limits
I agree with many people who say this golf course is magnificent all round because it is, however I also agree it’s not the place for your average weekend golfer who’s handicap is higher. It’s tough, mentally draining because of the landing zones you have to hit and then most greens are elevated with run offs and the greens are quick. So basically what I’m saying is it’s a great course for golfers who play regularly and want a new challenge but it would be quite miserable for the high handicappers out there
Amazing
Great course, challenging but fair. Great condition and the best practice area around and it’s not even close.
PGA ready
Best course I’ve played in the area. Even compared to the private ones. Your putter better be working because three putts are easy to do here.
Excellent Course, Poor Patrons...
I've played this course several times and it is almost always in great condition. This time, however, I was extremely disappointed with how poorly the players have been treating the course. I have nothing bad to say about the course management or the staff...they are doing great as always. The patrons of this club really need to respect the course before they ruin it. Some of the tee boxes were basically destroyed, not a single divot filled, and the sand/seed mix bottles still completely full. The same went for the common landing areas of the fairways, which also had full bottles waiting for someone to use them, and unreplaced divots laying everywhere. The greens, which are usually the best part of the course, were scuffed and scarred with cleat and ball marks. I fixed at least 10 ball marks on probably all 18 greens. I have always loved this course and I wish other players would show love and respect for it as well. I'm just glad I only paid a twilight rate and not a full weekend morning greens fee.
Great Course - Not Easy
Second time playing White Clay Creek. Both times the staff was fantastic and friendly. The course is always in great shape. Greens were rolling very true and just the right speed. The layout is also awesome with no back and forth holes. The holes them selves are not easy. Some long carry's and also some target golf.
Clubhouse is beautiful and the food in the restaurants was awesome, great lunch.
Cart girl could not have been more available and just super nice.
Play here if you're in the area for sure.
Absolutely Amazing
Prestine conditions, challenging layout. Friendly staff. This place is among the best course layouts in the east coast. Love this place
Great Twilight Value
Course was in very good shape, greens were firm and were rolling great! Was impressed by the practice areas and friendliness of the staff. Lots of accurate iron play required, if you love hitting driver, the tips will give you a couple more chances to do that. Great twilight value, will be back soon! Highly recommend.
If golf is a metaphor for life…
White Clay Creek is what it’s like to live!
It’s beautiful, but can be difficult at times. It’s serene, then the challenges come!
I loved it all!
Shot Makers Paradise
This golf course is a nice track and as the conditions improve through the spring and summer will be a real treat for many golfers. I would start by advising if you aren't at least a moderately practiced golfer, this course might not be for you. The rough is truly rough and the greens are fast and unforgiving. There are lots of opportunities for shot making both off of the tee and approaching the green complexes. Local knowledge in invaluable, so if you haven't played it, plan one round just to observe the course and where shots should be placed so that you can come back and really score well in the future. Played the white tees on this visit. Tees played a solid 6500 yard round. Many of the holes are position tee shots leaving many mid and long irons into greens. Par threes all played over 160 with the exception of 17 (120 yds). Only hit driver 3 or 4 times. I really enjoyed this round and the challenges and loved the opportunities to hit some real quality shots. As a final note, I travel for work and can't carry golf shoes with me. I play in running shoes and that was a challenge as the tees and fairways are mowed rather short here and I struggled to keep my footing. It was damp on this day, so that provided a different challenge for me. All that to say, I will be back. Where is the first tee and what is the course record?!
Very tough course too many forced carries Most of the greens are up on a plateau making it incredibly hard to hold chip shots on very fast greens, Not a fun course to play but incredibly challenging
