Prairie Falls Golf Club

About
Prairie Falls Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1999 and the second nine was added in 2000. Though each nine has a unique character, they combine seamlessly to create a fair test. It's an ideal course for high handicappers learning the game but it's not an easy course by any means. The front nine is a player friendly parkland layout with wide and forgiving fairways. You won't be penalized if you're slightly errant. You'll have the opportunity to build up your score on the front nine, putting you in a good position for facing the tougher back nine where there is less room for error. Prairie Falls Golf Club'a back has a links-style design with narrow fairways and tricky greens with subtle breaks. It's a challenging but fair course and if played smartly there are some birdie opportunities available.

Lots of new changes to come can't
Wait
Prairie falls
Great besides staff when first got there telling us we needed to move quickly because course was packed but it was a older group of 4 that held everyone up. Very rude staff.
I forgot one thing in my previous review
I forgot one thing in my previous review and want to add in one important thing. When making your shot to the green, there is no way to tell the pin position on the greens, whether they are front, center or back. I found I may have lost 3 or 4 strokes because of not knowing this. The remedy is to use my laser range finder, BUT Prairie Falls has chosen not to add the reflective attachments to their pins for the laser to pick up the location. So they take away that part of your game. If you like to know exact yardage to the hole, you will find this part of Prairie Falls very frustrating. This course needs to do a much better job to provide the golfer with this information.
Nice track
Course conditions were very good. Greens have almost healed perfect (May 17) and were rolling pretty good. Pace of play was surprisingly quick at 3:45 for a Saturday afternoon.
If you haven't played Prairie Falls yet, it's worth the drive to Post Falls. The front nine and back are two different courses. The back 9, accuracy is important off the tee boxes.
Okay
Poor grass. Good value.
Good weather. Fast play. Terrible pro shop. Very short driving range. Good change from front nine to the back nine.
Nice public course that is well taken care of.
When I played, it was early in the season so the course wasn't in the best shape but they were working and conditioning the greens. Overall it is a good course that I enjoy playing. Great friendly staff.
Interesting back nine.
This course was fun, interesting back nine. My only complaint might be hole placement on the greens. Mover all a nice course.
Fast Greens, great fairways!
Awesome customer service and awesome course. I was paired up with 3 other people and we had a blast. It was great to golf with other people familiar with the course as it was challenging! I will be back!
Great Monday
Well first time there and it went great. Friendly guys inside at the check in, nice driving range, and the course is in great shape.. The best part is that I didn't bounce one off a house. :)
Prarie falls
Over all a nice course very friendly the course is very good for hight handy caps to get better
but not to easy the staf very very nice and accommodating
This course as some easy but also some challenge holes
Watch out for number 18 par, water sneaks up on you with a very narrow fairway on final shot to green. Water on right.
great course
great course would go again and recommend to a friend
Late Fall very nice condition and not much traffic.
Late Fall - played 18 in about 2 hours (no one on the course). Very good winter conditions. I always appreciate this course being open in winter! White/Blue tee boxes are grouped together at this time of year and the course is playing short. Still well maintained. Thanks!
Friendly Course
The course was in good shape for this time of year and the cost was very reasonable. The guy in the pro shop was really friendly. We had a very enjoyable time.
Enjoyable for novice and intermediates
Fun layout. Lots of open space. Back 9 more fun. Don't expect elaborate club house but all in all enjoyed the round and will go back.
Great price but unconcerned about golfers
It took us over 5 hours to play 18 holes. We were constantly waiting to take our turn to play. Earlier in the day they had had a tournament with the worst possible pin placement and never bothered to change them. There was a second pin placement capped on each green, which could have been easily accessed, but no one seemed to be concerned about us regular golfers. We were never notified of the extreme difficulty of the pin placement. Very disappointed in their lackadaisical attitude. Beautiful course, but managed poorly. No marshals were present to patrol for slow play. Next time we visit this area, we will choose to golf elsewhere.
great layout
two distinict nines. Front nine fairly average, back 9 gives you all the challange you want. Staff very friendly. Well worth trying out
Fun course, fast round :-)
Fun course, fast round :-) Fun to see the trains go by :-)
An ok course for the money
The front 9 more parkland type a few trees lots of OB, the back an attempt at links style, feels cramped, could have used a few more acres.
pro shop had snack bar, very nice.
Front 9 fairly easy, back 9 more difficult. Fairways are nice and wide, that made them forgiving for us that can't always hit the ball
Streight. The coarse is well maintained, very nice.
Staff was not kind to my War Vet friend.
