#7 This 265 drive ran off the front of the fairway, big hitters club down Photo submitted by sorenj on 09/02/2019

#6 split blue tees, this angle requires 200+ to carry marshland and 240+ to make the corner and have a shot at the green Photo submitted by sorenj on 09/02/2019

#16 long downhill par 5 downhill lies can be trickey... note my botched 7i layup Photo submitted by sorenj on 09/02/2019

#13 Another great par 5 with an elevated fairway and a relatively narrow slot to shoot through Photo submitted by sorenj on 09/02/2019
Course Conditions
Staff was friendly and pleasant. It would have been nice to have been warned that the greens had been aerated and sanded. When we checked in nothing was mentioned. Probably would still have played the round but would have been nice to know ahead of time. Beautiful course!
great course needs improvements
love this course for the variety and views -- but they need to add divot mix to the tee boxes as well as the carts and upgrade the carts to electric and get rid of gas carts.... also a perimeter around greens so carts aren't allowed on the greens
Great Layout but Challenging
I have played Jug Mountain several times. I enjoy the layout, but it is very challenging in two ways: If you are off line, you will pay a steep price and if you can't drive the ball well over 200 yards, many of the par 4's are not reachable in 2 strokes
Tough course for a first timer. Several holes require shot placement that is not viewable from the tee. Generally, layups are needed due to the many creek crossings, but a player needs knowledge of these that is not available from the “course notes” handout sheet.
The pace of play was hurried; definitely not a casual round with the pressure to “keep moving” that I experienced. But the course is in great shape, and the staff was friendly to a person.
Will play again
everything was good mid week as not too busy.... the course is fun and challenging -- take lots of balls if you are intermediate level or less -- they seem to not care where or how close you drive cart to the green also no divot mix on carts or tee boxes .... also the carts are all gas driven.... recommend this course
First time
Played with local homeowners which helped me with layout…greens were great shape many hazards if you aren’t in fairway…adding to list of courses to play
Beautiful course with a few blind shots. Make sure to get the paper from the Pro Shop on where to aim. Played twice in three days and will definitely play again
My favorite course anywhere…and I Winter in Phoenix!
Beautiful scenery, challenging layout. Even if your round doesn’t go so well, you’ll feel like you spent the day at an awesome park in the montains😊
Summer at Jug Mtn!
Summer has finally arrived at Jug Mtn. Course is in fine condition other than a few areas that the voles damaged while covered in snow. Greens are very nice & are running at a medium pace.
Love this course! Bring plenty of balls as there is no room for error if you hit it off the mowed portion of the course.
