A hidden hobart gem
If you are looking for a great, friendly, and fun round of golf, you need to come here. For the price, it's a great bargain. Staff was friendly, course was clean and decently manicured.
Nice course, great price
This course is not the greatest, but it was easy to follow and well worth the price of admission. Staff was a little cold, but I surmise it is because I look young. Clubhouse was a little smoky. I had good time and a good golf experience overall.
Nice course for the price
Overall good condition. Fairways good. Few greens need a little work.
A Hidden Gem
I played this course years ago when it first opened, I knew back then that given time this could become the perfect hidden gem. I was spot on! The course could not have been in better shape, I l like how the fairways and greens have shaped up. The par 5's are a nice challenge and as long as you stay in the fairway you have a change at a birdie shot. The par 3's are short which makes you practice your finesse shots. I thought the greens were in good shape and I found them challenging. This is a great course to build your confidence.
Duck Creek 8/15/15
Nice little course. Played 18 in just over 3 hours. I had scheduled 2 of us for the tee time but my friend had a last minute family issue and was unable to play. I unfortunately had no way of recovering that expense. Some type of coupon or something from Golfnow would be very appreciated, especially from a regular customer.
Good course for the money
The mere fact that they are fixing drainage issues is a point in their favor. Nice mix of holes for the money....the hot dog wasn't there yet...that was a bummer. OH YA...for some reason the tee boxes were hard as rock!! Literally broke a tee trying to get it in the ground to tee off...
A friendly atmosphere
The staff was all around very friendly. The other golfers let me play right through without any hesitation. I would have gave them 5 stars but some of the greens looked a little worn in areas. But that is the only thing I can complain about. Very fun course, check it out!
This is a $20 course
Flat, short, but does has 2 challenging holes. Green are fast, course condition was great. Fantastic bar, but the only food served is a hotdog cart.
This course offers great value
The course is in adequate condition for early season golf. Despite heavy rains the few days before the course wasn't to wet.
Not worth the money
The course looks really nice. There are several problems with this course. There are very few soft patches of dirt. Almost the entire course is rock hard clay. The greens play fast due to the hardness. Several of the tee boxes were almost all dirt. Several greens were extremely patchy. The course is flat, with very little hazards. There was one hole that was pleasant to play. It's also a very short course for a par 70. I would not play this course again, and I don't feel it's worth the money.
just golf
got it on a hot deal. great for just some golf . there is a hotdog cart at the first tee and at the ninth green. [same location] no beverage cart or food available while playing. there is a bar at the club house nothing special about it but it is there. 5 holes of the course are in a subdivision . i will play their again.
Course condition
This course has potential but the staff is a joke! The course ranger doesn't enforce pace of play and good luck trying to let anyone play through. The good old boys won't let that happen.
The tee boxes haven't been groomed in months and random patches of dirt are everywhere! One hole was a muddy mess but the other 17 felt like the desert.
Fine course at a good value.
Really enjoy playing here, with tees that fit one's skill level. Shot my two best rounds for 18 holes here, both 94. Gives the beginner a chance to score well, as well as the more experienced golfer. Nice mix of challenging versus more straightforward holes. #15 and #17 are quite challenging, indeed, making you think about your plan of attack. Doglegs, short and long par 3s, some water holes, good mix of everything generally. Course is always well-maintained, and surpasses several other local courses that cost more to play. Staff is always courteous and accomodating. Give Duck Creek a try, and enjoy your round.
Always a good time
Duck creek is a great course, but the cost comes with compromises. Greens can be rough and cart paths are limited. Really great staff, you always feel welcome. I like the course because its a confidence booster and it doesn't break the bank. I've played the course 6 times this year so far and plan to play a handful more times. Recommend the course to a new golfer or a golfer that would rather play a round of golf over hitting the driving range. I shoot in the 80s and feel relaxed playing at duck creek.
awsome course
Great time . Crew were great and welcoming . I plan to return soon as i am a La Porte IN. resident
This is a great course
Great golf course with a few challenges. Played it two days in a row. Greens are fast and the fairways are nice.
This course was cheap and short
We went on Memorial Day so of course the play was extremely slow but the greens were in good shape. It was swampy in spots some still with standing water but still a nice little course
This is a nice course
I really enjoyed playing this course and would recommend to friends.
Good Value
Considering the harsh winter we had in the Region, the course was in excellent shape. I recommend to get a hot dog at the turn from the gentleman with the Hot Dog Stand.
worst course in indiana
This course is awful I was meeting a couple friends from Chicago and we decided to play a course in the middle turned out to be a bad idea there are no fairways greens are not taken care of at all. Not even worth the discounted price of 20$ each I will make sure everyone I know avoids this course at all cost. On top of that the staff was very unfriendly when we came in wouldn't allow us to pay with a card said they were closed and it would mess up the system!? It was Tuesday at 12:36 pm they had people drinking in the bar. Just terrible
