good
Good course with lots of variation in the course layout.
Great course
Course is very challenging and always in great shape.
Nice course, narrow
Course was in good shape, when I arrived, the staff didn't offer to put bags on cart, I asked if I should take any cart. The response was yes, so I put my own bags on cart. Usually when you go to a golf course all the staff is extremely friendly as well as the players. Not So much Here!!!. When I was done, no offer to clean clubs, take them off cart, etc. Won't be back
Scenic and great condition
Fairways and greens in very good condition. Staff very friendly. Course very scenic
Greens were in excellent condition and pins were in very difficult placements. Due to lack of rain on this coast some areas of the rough were dry. Overall the course was in good condition.
Play too slow on Sunday
Course very nice. Staff friendly. Play was so slow and backed up. No marshal riding around keeping people moving. Bunch guys horsing around barefoot and cowboy hats. They were nice guys but too hot to sit in a cart waiting every hole. Maybe playing weekdays ate faster.
Sunday play too slow
Course and staff very nice. They book tee times too close and it was very backed up. Too hot to sit that long between holes. Where was course Marshal? There were guys horsing around on the green playing in barefoot and cowboy hats. Weird
Hidden Gem
The last time I played at Sand Ridge, there was only one course. That was about 20 years ago. This time, I played "The Dunes", which I believe is the newer of the 2 courses at Sand Ridge. The greens were remarkably well, since the past few courses I've played had slow, partially aeriated greens. The layout was challenging, but not too brutal. The pace was rather slow but joined up with a few 2 and threesomes to make it more bearable. Friendly staff and with the Hot Deal, was a great bargain for such a nice course. Will have to go back and play "The Lakes".
