Vista Plantation Golf Course
About
Vista Plantation Golf Club is an Arthur Hills-designed course that is conveniently located near all of Vero Beach's attractions. The course is just a short drive from the scenic beaches, which are part of Florida's Treasure Coast. The course is compact but challenging with small, fast greens and tight fairways. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes. The golf course is challenging enough for avid players yet forgiving enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence. It's a player-friendly layout that is great for beginners and seniors. Though the golf course may not require distance, your short game skills will be put to the test. There is not only water but also numerous strategically placed bunkers. Vista Plantation is a golf course that will make you think and you'll also need to be accurate.

On the green of hole # 8 Photo submitted by Poutchine on 05/05/2016
enjoyable, learnable, quick
easy to overshoot but once you in the rhythm its a pleasant few hours...would return especially around noon when it seems deserted
Great executive course. Water on every hole challenging greens. Staff are great
Rick
Nice friendly staff. Challenging course in good shape
A Mediocre Executive Course
Par 62 with excessively tight fairways surrounded by water. Fairways not well kept, greens slow as was pace of play. Staff however is wonderful. Given that it is only one of two public courses in Vero play it if you can’t get on a private course or Sandridge but only as a practice round. If you are an average golfer bring lots of balls or a wet suit.
Greens were great!
I have played this course many times. Love when I can get a GolfNow hot deal! The course was in very good shape and the greens were excellent. It was a perfect weather day!! We hadn’t played in few months so makes us want to go again soon!
Water, Water everywhere!
Water on 17 holes! Good, fast greens, overall a fun course. Only downside is slow 9 holers, 2.5 hour front nine and 90 minute back nine. Good hotdogs. Will play again.
Kind of an Executive Course
Challenging golf course with extreme narrowness and water everywhere even though there are only eight par fours and the remaining ten holes are all par threes. Some of the greens were incredibly hard and almost impossible to stop a ball flying in from any distance making the course quite unfair on many holes. The staff was inconsistent, while the check in person and starter were very friendly, the food/bar person was a real grump and couldn't have been unfriendlier, a nice way to end the day and one reason for not wanting to return.
VISTA PLANTATION
THE COURSE WAS IN GOOD SHAPE. THE GREENS WERE VERY GOOD, THE BALL ROLLED VERY WELL.
Not A Normal Executive Course
Although there are 10 par 3's and only 6 par 4's, Vista Plantation is nevertheless a challenging golf course and with water that actually comes in play on 17 of the 18 holes, a demanding golf course as well. There had been an extremely heavy rain the night before we played and the course was very wet thus making it virtually impossible to run the ball up to the greens and although the course was wet, the greens were not at all soft making the short game a real adventure. Our group will play it at least one more time only the next time we'll play it when the course is dry.
Challenging golf course
All of us like this golf course. It is challenging because of the lakes, and the staff is so friendly, you feel like being with friends. Every hole has a challenge and it is a good way to practice your clubs. The short game is very important.
narrow with lots of water.
The coarse has fairly narrow fairways with lots of water, mostly on your right. If you have a slice this coarse is very difficult. The coarse is short with maybe 3 long holes. Longest hole is 300 plus yards. I lost at least 7 balls in the water. With penalty this adds 7 plus strokes to my game.
rainy but good
when I got to the course as luck would have it, it started to rain...I asked if I could get a raincheck, however since I booked through golf now, I would have to go back to them for a refund...I have tried that in the past and the representative confirmed I would be receiving a refund which never happened...so no trust in golf now with this in future...I could tell from the way this representative was speaking that she was just saying this so I would go away...Needless to say I was very disappointed...will watch weather closer next time as I did play about half in rain, not pouring but rain never the less..
