About
Edmonton Garrison Memorial Golf & Curling Club is centrally located within 15 minutes of the Edmonton Area, St. Albert, Morinville, and Cardiff. It first opened as a nine-hole course in the 1950s. Since the second nine wasn't added until 1996, there is a distinct difference between the front and back nine that makes it feel like you're getting two golf courses in one. The front, the original nine, is a more traditional parkland layout while the back is a more open links nine. You'll face a different set of challenges on each. The smaller greens on the front are indicative of the time when it was built and the size will also test your shot placement skills. In contrast, Edmonton Garrison Memorial's back nine has large and undulating greens as well as more strategically placed mounding.

Nice course could be better
Greens in right shape but a fun layout for the most part. Only a few holes I don’t like.

Good value
Found this on a hot deal. The course was on fairly good condition... except they're airrating the greens so all of the greens were covered on sand and pretty difficult to play.
I'll definitely play there again though!

Good value course.
Not really many complaints of the course, not too challenging but still had interesting design and not much water so friendly for beginners, played when it had rained a lot the day before so there was a lot of casual water, but course seems well maintained. One thing is I’m a younger golfer and the starter seemed old and grumpy more than anything but didn’t affect my round and other staff was very friendly

I haven't played Garrison in awhile, but was disappointed in the condition of the rough. Not that is was long but full of clover. The pace was slow specifically because of this. We lost lots of balls barely being off the fairway.
Then learn to hit it in the fairways!

I don't want to be to critical of course conditions because of all the rain we have had, however I do want to point out that cart paths have needed much attention for a long time. They were being worked on during our round which was good to see. Fairways were fairly good, rough was and has been to long in the past. It is a good course and has seen improvements each year.

Soggy Situation
Heavy rain the previous day made the course very mucky. Perhaps a better drainage or water managent system is needed.
The young man working the pro shop wanted to charge me $68 instead of the $61 Golf Now quoted. When I showed him the email confirmation he seemed out to lunch and had to chat with a manager. He adjusted the price but still messed it up.
We apologize the rain got the best of the day. We hope to have you back again in the future!

Course was in average shape. Bumpy cart paths with pasture like fairways.

Need repair car paths.
Overall the course is in good condition except some fairways are water overrun. Greens are in good condition. Car paths are bumpy and rough condition. But overall enjoy golfing there.
