Lacombe Golf and Country Club
About
Lacombe Golf & Country Club opened in 1925, but the site has roots in golf that date back even further to 1910 when golfers would use the former cow and sheep pasture to hit balls. It has undergone many changes over the years but the layout still retains its classic character. The golf course is situated along the PEII, midway between Calgary and Edmonton. The par-71 layout is routed through dense groves of mature, towering trees. They loom above the fairways and provide a backdrop for nearly every hole. When the trees are combined with the golf course's small, undulating greens, the layout becomes a true test of your accuracy. In addition to the golf course, Lacombe also offers a driving range and a practice putting green with a bunker.

Tough to walk
A great course with challenging lies on undulating fairways. Green were particularly fast. Would suggest walking only for the robust, downhills are a killer on the knees. Great value for the money!
very enjoyable
Everything was excellent. Just as expected with Golf Now planning. Thank you. Well worth going and playing. I recommend anyone going. A gem to discover.
great greens
Nice mature course with fast, undulating greens. Putting is a challenge. Pace of play was quick, with no delays. Snack window on clubhouse after 9th hole should have been open in the middle of summer. Bunkers were not recently raked, the had a crusty layer on top. This course is great to play because it is very hilly for a prairie course. Great change of pace from other area courses.
Excellent
Course was execellent.but green was'n good condition.
Staffs there were so kind.
Fun Course with variety
Slow was extremely slow this day due to a couple tournaments going on but normally you can play 18 holes in 4-4.5 hrs. Greens were quick and fairways in good shape. Staff are always quite friendly.
greens and staff
The greens were the fastest I have ever played on. Staff was good and the cart girl was around about every 3 holes!
wide open spaces difficult to find ball off fareway
Other than being pelted by hail on the 16 hole we had a wonderful time!
The greens were challenging and enjoyed the course!
very well maintained with mature greenery.
From the time we checked in until a few post round refreshments, the staff was very friendly. The course is in very nice condition with a wide variety of species of mature trees linning the fairways and the greens were immaculate but very challenging with slope and undulation. Especially by using Golfnow, this is a great bargain for the dollar.
