Nursery Golf and Country Club
About
Situated north of Lacombe, Nursery Golf & Country Club is conveniently located just off of Hwy 2 between Edmonton and Calgary. It lies just east of the Canadian Rockies. The course appeals to players of all skill levels, from beginners to pros, thanks to a diverse range of holes. You'll have to contend with tricky doglegs and tree-lined fairways as well as several different water hazards, including a stream that cuts across the entire golf course. The layout crosses over the stream several times, connected by scenic wooden bridges. The tranquil setting of the golf course is ideal for a round of golf. Nursery Golf & Country Club finishes with a tough par 5. There is trouble nearly everywhere you turn on this hole with tall poplars lining the fairways and a sloped green. If you're even slightly right of the fairway you'll be punished with a blind second shot.

Nursary review
Well werth the drive, the wife and I had a great time!
Very Nice Golf Course
Played at this course for the first time. It was a bit of a drive for us from Edmonton. However we have no regrets after playing this moderately challenging, beautiful course. My favorite hole is No. 11 which is considered as the longest hole in Canada. I would love to go there again and play the course.
The Nursery
Had a great day and a great round.
The course was in very good condition and it played to the challenge that I was expecting.
Great course
We have played this course several times since it opened 20 years ago. It has remained one of our favourites to play in this area. The front 9 is spectacular with great scenery & lots of challenges.
course conditions are excellent
Played course today was very busy but still able to play in 4 hours 30 min, The greens are some of the best I have played this year couple fairways on back nine are a little rough from flood damage but still very playable. over all a great course to play in the Red Deer area well worth the trip will definitely play again soon.
quirky front nine, back nine has some holes that look aweful
This was the first time ever playing this course. I found the staff member working in the proshop to be on the unfriendly side, even after mentioning that this was my first time playing the course. We got the same reaction when we returned the golf cart keys at the end of the round. There are a lot of quirky holes on both nines. There are a lot of shrubs that catch balls. The from nine does have some pretty hoes. There are a lot of holes on the back nine that need a lot of work. The greens are in phenomenal shape. I'd play it again when my club has a tournament and I want to play somewhere cheap.
Always is a good course
I have played at this course usually once a year at least for the past five years. Every time is a pleasure and enjoyable. My score is always average on the front nine compared to my normal play. The back nine for some reason always makes my score a little lower. Very pleasant and always enjoyable. Would not hesitate taking any golfer here. The club house is simple and the food is basic. Travel here for the golf and you will be pleased.
Big Greens
Course is in good condition nice track I would like to play again
Nice Course
Nice course in rural Alberta. It has water and trees to make sure you hit the fairways. Great pace for a Sunday afternoon of golf.
This course is very under-rated.
So beautiful and serene. Altho not normally rated terribly high by the experts - we loved it and would golf it every week if I could
Variety of holes
Fun course. Tee boxes need attention. Grass long; not level. Greens good, perhaps a bit slow but you can get interesting pins. My GPS did not work there (sky caddie). It is fine here at home today so not sure what that was about. Lots of water, very little sand. Course should have blue white and red posts in middle of fairway to help us figure out how far to hit when water in play. No two holes the same. Good par 3'S and par 5's were tough! Fun to play.
This course tests all your clubs!
Despite the storm that just went through one week ago things are improving the beautiful flowers were hit hard and trees torn down.
This is a very scenic course and has many challenges for all levels of golfers.
