Nursery Golf and Country Club

Greens were in great shape, fairways good shape and tee boxes not the greatest. Overall good bang for your buck. Biggest downside is lots of blind obstructions in the fairways. Scorecards or tee boxes should have indications as to where fairway creeks etc are. If I was to play again I would think a guy could easily knock off 8-10 strokes. First timers play it safe

Lots of hidden difficulties so important to hit your target and to know when to take risks.

One of my favourite places to golf. I would recommend it to play. Would be nice if they had a clubhouse.

You will find the back nine particularly challenging. Hitting a straight ball the right distance is a must to avoid the hazards.

Looks easy plays tough, lots of left and right dog legs. Look out for driving through the fairways into the trees. Try the black tees if you think you are really good.

My Sky Caddie never works on this course, although other devices seem to work. This course is listed on the Sky Caddie web page but will not work when at the course. Not happy with that.

Fun little track, another under-rated Alberta course. Most holes give you the option to use anything from driver to 4 iron to tee off with. Placement is paramount, plethora dog-legs - recommend knowing distances to the corners of them. The par 5's are awesome and you can play the longest hole in the country, a firm test even as a par 6. The par 3's offer a nice variety.

I played the nursery twice in the past week. It's in good shape, and greens have sped up a little since last week. Course was not busy in the afternoon, finished 18 under 4 hours with a 4some. The only downside to this course is its lack of bunkers

It's very apparent that a lot of work has gone into the course this year. It's playing absolutely amazing for late spring. Of all the rounds I have played this spring around central Alberta, The Nursery was in the best shape and was the most enjoyable round. As far as the 2 Lacombe courses go, The Nursery is the clear hands down winner. It's more cost effective and less busy. 5/5! Can't wait to play it in July.

good value for spring tune up ,big greens ,fairways need work ,cart paths are gravel and rough course needs to mature maybe in a few year with upgrades it will be a good course for the money asked for green fees

Had to keep the driver in the bag on a lot of holes, even par fives. Some fairways were to narrow.staff were not that friendly.

We were 4 - the course was challenging for us but well worth the challenge. The greens couldn't have been more beautiful. Although it does not have sandtraps, (thank goodness), it did have water in very strategic places. Definitely be looking to play there again next year!

A small town course in great shape.
I'd played here 5 years ago and hadn't thought much of it.
This time was different.
The large undulating greens were in perfect condition. The rest of the course is short and often narrow generally requiring precision tee shots.
I'm not a long hitter but still only used my driver 5 times.
We were a little slow because misdirected shots were hard to find in some spots.

The Nursery is only a few miles off of the Number 2 Highway.
It is easy to find and is on paved roads all the way to the gates.
It is secluded and the scenery is outstanding. The course is in great shape. (must have an awesome superintendent). The greens were smooth, fast and true. Great for late fall.
Some great forced carries over water and rough.

Well werth the drive, the wife and I had a great time!

Played at this course for the first time. It was a bit of a drive for us from Edmonton. However we have no regrets after playing this moderately challenging, beautiful course. My favorite hole is No. 11 which is considered as the longest hole in Canada. I would love to go there again and play the course.

The course was in very good condition and it played to the challenge that I was expecting.

We have played this course several times since it opened 20 years ago. It has remained one of our favourites to play in this area. The front 9 is spectacular with great scenery & lots of challenges.

Played course today was very busy but still able to play in 4 hours 30 min, The greens are some of the best I have played this year couple fairways on back nine are a little rough from flood damage but still very playable. over all a great course to play in the Red Deer area well worth the trip will definitely play again soon.

This was the first time ever playing this course. I found the staff member working in the proshop to be on the unfriendly side, even after mentioning that this was my first time playing the course. We got the same reaction when we returned the golf cart keys at the end of the round. There are a lot of quirky holes on both nines. There are a lot of shrubs that catch balls. The from nine does have some pretty hoes. There are a lot of holes on the back nine that need a lot of work. The greens are in phenomenal shape. I'd play it again when my club has a tournament and I want to play somewhere cheap.
