The Dunes at Kamloops is truly nature’s golf course. Lush fairways carve through the sand that was once the riverbed of the North Thompson giving way to dunes that transform into vast waste areas and challenging bunkers. The Dunes is proud of being tournament ready every day, with each fairway leading to a meticulously groomed green. The Dunes
Very wide open links style course. The greens are great. The course is excessively watered for a links style course

Yellow balls play well in the dark
324pm tee off. Course was running 20 min behind. No catrs available, advised to check after 9 holes. Finished front nine 3 hours after original tee time. Sometimes 3- 4 groups on same hole. No course marshalls. Went to clubhouse after first 9 to see about carts. Proshop was closed. Did not finsih 18 holes due to darkness and extremely slow play. Played 12 holes then quit

Rude
The girl working at the pro shop was very rude and short with me when I was checking in they do not offer any sort of cart service as far as drinks or beverage cart on the course while you’re playing the bathrooms in the pro shop we’re not working

A little shaggy
I used to love this course. I’ve played it about 5-6 times but the last time was probably 3 years ago. I always thought the conditions were great. The rough is really shaggy now—the length where it covers your ball and you drive by it looking for just a glimpse of it. The greens were slow. The marshall said they are narrowing up the fairways by letting the rough grow into it. Tee box grass was also long. I’d be hesitant about booking a time here again.

Everything was great except...
They could use a water station or fountain along the way but everything was great for this time of year. Meat lovers pizza at the restaurant after was fantastic!!
