Back bin has a hokey par 4 where you are teeing off towards a group going the others way. Very dangerous

I have been playing this course for several years and always enjoyed it. Extra wear and tear on the course as a result of an abundance of new golfers throughout covid was the same on all courses we played throughout BC and Alberta the last two years, but the Dunes has done an exceptional job of bouncing back and more!

Narrower fairways, grown out fescue, beautiful driving range with a short game area... just to mention a few! A short conversation with the employees there gets you a little insight into the owner's intentions for more improvements planned and many underway already.

This is a very aesthetically pleasing golf course to play and also to sit on the patio and enjoy the views after with some great food and a cold beverage.

The staff is friendly and helpful and I am happy to see some consistency in the faces that are around there this year.

2 years in a row the course is poorly maintained. Sand traps are like hitting off pavement and today many traps had huge puddles in them. Mount Paul’s tee boxes are better kept. Lots of hideous fairways and the greens are below average at best, again, mount Paul’s greens were in better shape about a month ago (not sure about now). Some fairways were decent, and others were atrocious. I can remember a time about 15 years ago when the dunes was #1 or #2 in the Kamloops area, but now it’s dead last for me. Eagle Point is much better maintained; the owner goes out and works on the course, I’ve seen him raking and putting in labour to make his course stand out, and it does!

I've actively played this course for 3 years. Great layout. Different tee boxes are well placed providing a different challenge from each. Course conditions were fair, but likely due in part to an unusual weather year. Improvements made this year to bunker conditions and driving range. Pace of play was slow, could use some marshalling on course. Hard to determine if ownership still cares about the course or if it's just running through the paces until the land can be developed as houses. Little things like faded signage, rough edges on cart paths, etc make you wonder. Biggest frustration is their hours of operation. Only recently opened pro shop for evening rounds when all other courses in the city are open late. Had a platinum membership card for last 3 years, without some guarantee of longer opening hours I won't renew it for next year. Don't know why they want to give up the revenue from having longer hours, maybe they want to limit course wear and tear - hard to say. Frustrating nonetheless. With the right TLC and mgmt this could be an absolutely stellar course. Restaurant is very good.

Several bunkers didn’t have enough sand or were full of water, tee boxes, greens and fairways are hideous and not well kept. They demand a credit card now to book times when other, better courses do not. There’s not much popularity at this course: 11 available t-times between 12-3pm on a sunny Saturday at 8am. This course has gone decidedly downhill over past 5 years.

Pace of play was beyond ridiculous.....almost 6 hours to completion! No facilities open(no bathrooms on course) Clubhouse was closed at 4pm....again No bathroom! Pretty tough on the ladies in the group! No rakes in sand No ball washers!

Great golf course have not found a course around that you can play for under 60$ to do 18 best bang for your buck course around I play there 1 to 2 days a week among other courses and if you want friendly staff a well kept course that can challenge all skilll levels I recommend the dunes.

Been playing this game for over 53 years I finally made my first hole in 1 on Number 4 hole.

It was 184 yards with a little helping wind flag was mid right. I hit a 6 iron it was one of the purest 6 iron that I have ever hit.

It bounced 3 ft from the hole and rolled into the center of the cup!

I still can’t believe it!
