Slow
Extremely slow pace, we ha a group of seniors who were at least 3to 4 holes behind. No Marshall until 16th hole, and then went and talked with them, took over 5 hours to play. Very frustrating to say the least
Dry Dry Dry
The whole course was extremely dry. Couldn’t even get the tee into ground on some holes.
Narrow, tree-lined and slow
3 players, walking. Various levels from 85-100 golfers. To start, we were 20 mins behind from the first tee box. At 9, the group in front of us (3 high school kids) left so we were able to finish very quickly. Fairways were fine but it was just a very tight course. Perfect for bump and run but nothing else. Even at $70 wouldn’t come back.
Price Gouging
This is an average course that’s become very expensive so much for buy Canadian. It’s more like buy Canadian and we’ll rip you off any way we can!
There is no longer a senior rate and we were charged $10 for a scoop of ice. Other courses give it to you for free. It’s water!!!
Not happy rounding
Too many team waiting waiting waiting. I gove up regular course. I played 11hole executive par3 .

Slowwwww & uneven
The course fails to communicate on its portal that a children’s tournament (any tournament) is being played. It took 2 hours to get through the first 4 holes before the marshal heard enough from 5 backed up groups. The total round was just short of 7 hours. A majority of the tee boxes are very uneven, divot ridden scapes.
The course itself is nice with great landscaping, nice fairways, and the price of $50 on a weekday is perfect.
All of us backed up groups only wish the course communicated verbally and on their webpage that we’d be playing behind a tournament and we would’ve booked a different time-slot.
Good and challenging course
Layout was great. Fairways well enough. Greens were little slow though!

Some hall are completed and the older is confused.
Good basic field without luxory
- Hard course surface
- Bunkers hard and unkempt (hole nro 2 or 3 par 3 has grass growing in the bunker)
- No one monitors the speed of play (twice played a round and both times over 5 hours. My score 83 both times).
- tee boxes uneven and shocking condition
Newlands Golf
Greens were in good condition, the pace of play was a bit slow. It took us little over 4.5 hours to finish. The beverage cart was prompt and friendly.
Tee boxes
Every tee box was a bit worn out. Good price and we love the layout of the golf course.
