Enjoyed my First Round at Newlands
The course was in nice shape and I found the green speed consistent. The pace was excellent with around a 4hr. 15min. Playing with people that understand how to maintain pace always helps makes the round enjoyable. The course is had its challenges. A golfer in the group shared his knowledge as there are a few challenging holes. Even as a 20 handicapper I prefer.
Great Course but slow Pace of Play
The golf course offers a well-maintained 18-hole layout suitable for all levels, with a varied mix of open fairways and challenging, tree-lined holes. However, the pace of play was very slow, with frequent delays that affected the overall experience.
Despite the excellent amenities like a pro shop, driving range, and practice greens, the slow pace can be frustrating. Improved management of tee times and course flow would enhance the experience on what is otherwise a quality course.
First time at Newlands
Course was in decent shape, a couple of holes that are rather unusual and don't add to the experience.
good value
Pretty solid course. Fairways were ok with some dodgey spots here and there. Greens were decent with some rough spots around certain edges at certain holes but for the value it's a decent course. Not the easiest course to play but a solid learning course.
