Large bunkering is an element that makes Willowbrook GC more difficult than most layouts. Here is a greenside trap at hole one (par-5, 501 yards). Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

The tee shot at the fifth, a fine par-3 of 124 yards, must carry a water hazard and a pair of bunkers. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

The seventh green, like many holes at Willowbrook, sits upon a mound and is guarded by a single, large bunker. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/26/2025

Course is extremely Wet
This course has areas that are normally wet but it was entirely wet this time. In fairness, this has been a very wet 6 weeks for this time of year and the course doesn’t have great drainage. The layout is good but the greens were hard to figure out. They were inconsistent but overall they were in good shape from a grass standpoint. The pace of play was terrible. There was a foursome in front of us that were basically taking their time, not really concerned about the pace of play. They didn’t seem to care and there were no marshals to get them to speed up. Cart path only which was a good thing because as soon as you walked on the fairway, your feet got wet. Honestly the course should have been closed until some drainage occurred.
Great course for the price.
The Greens were in very good condition And the fairways were generally in good. Some of the tee boxes could do with a little more work, But not a big deal. And most importantly the atmosphere is great. Not a house in sight, and the creek that winds through the course adds a nice touch. The course will accomate any level of golfer.
Great value considering the Green Fees.
Cart Paths are Terrible
Have been going back to this course for over 4 years and still the cart paths haven't been repaired .... never mind replaced. In some areas you have to drive over the fairways and greens so you don't need a chiropractor ...
Great Course
Great value and nice condition. Your can tell the staff values their customers and the course itself.
cart path only
this is the third time I played this course when it was cart path only, I live only a few miles away and we have had no significant rain so either the course is being over watered or they have a really bad drainage issue.
Willowbrook Golf Course Winter Haven FL
Very good layout and challenging. We play here every time we visit the area. Great value for the price. Staff is extremely courteous and friendly. Course continues to experience drainage issues, in some areas one would not imagine there would be a drainage issue. As noted in prior reviews, management needs to address the drainage issues for the benefit of all golfers, especially the golf club members. Perhaps consider redesigning holes or adding shrubbery to absorb the moisture.
Value
Best course around for the money.
As winter comes to the country, Florida Golf prices go up up up to a totally unreasonable price Willowbrook is bucking that trend and I thank them for it. Good course for a fair price.
Average
Course conditions were fine greens were nice. Just not as good as the past. Never saw an aligator which used to be garenteed. Just not as astetickly pleasing
Good for less than $35
Paid $24 with cart, Very good deal. If you can play for less than $35 it's worth the money. Interesting layout. Very rural area. Very good pace of play. Greens are slow. Fairways were wet but they had a lot of rain the previous week. Cart paths are rough. Restaurant/bar closes too early. Clubhouse is run down, but overall I would play here again if I could get a good deal.
Best Round of Golf with my 6 year old son!
Staff was friendly and helpful, course is nice overall! Greens were fantastic. Only bad thing was a fairway was flooded!
