This course is not forgiving
You have to hit your ball very straight on this course. A couple drives have to be hit perfect to be in play. Nice selection of par 3's
Pristine warmup course.
Great place to get warmed up for later round of golf. Thanks to Golf Now you can get 7:30 AM tee time. Neat course close to Lake Bess. It is nestled among nice homes near Winter Haven.
Need to play a couple times to know where to hit it..
Not a bad executive course, good place to practice wedges and approach shots. Pretty tight as well, you can get into trouble if you don't know where to place tee shots. Greens were very slow, not bad looking just real slow. The staff was great very nice and informative. Great deal for $10 no doubt, will go back for sure.

Very Nice Executive Course
This course was perfect for my wife. Just the right length and good challenges. She even almost beat me!!
Surprising
We were pleasantly surprised at the course. It was not the typical executive course. We said we would play it again

Played in December of 2014. Course is in the best shape I have seen it. It is a short course and is player friendly.
Nice short course.
Lake Bess Golf Course is in really good condition. The greens are in great shape,but just a little long even after just being cut. A good place to get in a quick 9 or work primarily on irons and wedges. Will definitely play again
Nice Little Executive Course
This course is worth the money. It's very walkable and there is a Hot Deal on GN for it every morning. The greens at Lake Bess are in amazing shape. They play a little slow but they are even and true. Playing from the tips, almost all of holes are drivable but a few well placed trees will add a bit of challenge to it. The practice areas are in great shape and the carts work just fine.
I'd consider this more of a winter course because of how great of shape it's in compared to summer - like most places in Florida.
Nice little course
Nice little course. I was anxious to see how the short course would play and was quite surprised. I probably only used my driver on 2 of the 9 holes. Definitely had an iron out for almost everything out of the tee box. Most of the par 4s are within driving range but the course is designed where it is basically impossible to drive them without ending up OB or in some trees. Course was in great shape and dry after an absurd amount of rain the day before I played. Great value as well. I would certainly recommend this course if you want to get a quick 9 or 18 in.
