Don’t Waste Your Time
- Carts are very old, and staff actually offered a bungee cord to keep passenger-side bag on back of cart, as was no clip to connect strap to; saw 3 carts “stranded” throughout course, from apparently breaking done during use and not towed back
- Cart provided was obviously not fully cleaned by staff prior to being available for next use, as were wrappers/garbage in a few spots left over from previous user
- Cart paths are in TERRIBLE shape and are actually dangerous in a number of places, due to unrepaired large ruts and holes on hills;
- 6 of us actually had to assist one golfer get her cart out of the bush as she had crashed into the trees as lost control coming down the cart path on a curving 2-way narrow hilly cart path which had deep ruts in it
- Greens are not in good shape at all and a few holes have “temporary” greens which are just cut out of fairway and can’t even be played
- Women’s bathroom was filthy and in terrible shape of repair; regardless if owners are not providing proper budget for proper upkeep, there is no excuse for not keeping it clean, especially in the present COVID era . . . and is actually unsanitary to a point of being unsafe.
- Layout of course is confusing in places and signage is insufficient, not maintained and in some places, just embarrassing (hand painted, dripping down from letters - perhaps appropriate for Halloween theme)
- Pace of play was fine for us as minimal people playing, despite being an absolutely gorgeous Sunday afternoon, which was good, as no Marshall seen at all; noticed 6 people playing in group behind us so not sure if affected groups behind them
The few good points of this course are totally overshadowed by all the negatives.
Will never play again, and don’t recommend anybody else does, regardless of price.

Great course, coming along nicely. We played this course at the beginning of the year and the corse was pretty rough. But now, the fairways are great and hopefully a couple of the greens will be ready for next year.
Look forward to playing the course again.

Probably the worst golf course I have ever played, but it was cheap and I thought I would try it out. I had a ball plug and disappear on the rough on a par 3. A few holes didn’t even have greens to putt on, just extensions of the fairways with flags. The cart parts were kept very poorly and IMO were very dangerous.
Terrible conditions
How do you lose a ball in the fairway play Annandale. Fairway grass not greens is 2-3”in some spots. Plus the brown dead grass they cut the week before lining the fairways. Grounds keepers no etiquette on golf play. Very 1st green grounds keeper doing figure 8’s with tractor type lawnmower/hard hat and eat phones. Seriously the 1st hole and he has to be told to park in the shade-turn off your machine and wait till we’re done putting. Unbelievable !!! 14 holes later head of grounds crew passes by. “Hey buddy do you always cut the greens when a group is trying to put. His response to me is Oh your the guy. Hard hat and ear phones rats me out to his boss. Didn’t have to swear at my guy. I simply said to hard hat and ear phones are you Fn serious right now 1st hole go park it and turn it off golf etiquette. Place is a farmer’s field never again
Trash
The course was under repairs and some holes did not have a green. Multiple holes were just flags in the middle of the rough or fairway. Some fairways indistinguishable from the rough, and the carts paths are in terrible shape. Overall - would not recommend.
Meh meh
Not worth the money, greens were being watered during play, couldn’t tell the difference between the fairway and the rough. Not worth even $20!!!
Sad
Track has potential but is in the worst condition I've seen a course in since the infamous parkshore.
At the very least, take care of the bathrooms... It's one thing not being able to afford a greens keeping crew but anyone can wash a bathroom- they were absolutely disgusting. This shows you how little care is put into the place.

Worst condition of any course I’ve ever played
Worst condition course ever, had 2 flags that weren’t even on a green. The sand has weeds in it and is so hard I shouldn’t even call it sand. Green have bumps, holes and crazy dry patches. Will never be returning. Also no hot dogs at the turn, the only food they sell is bags of chips.
Golf
I’ve played there so many years but today when I saw the course after a long time greens were patches everywhere some hole you were putting from the fairway just not maintained at all too bad cause I really think for Pickering it could be one of the best courses and with the casino close by it could be something great for people to come stay and play .
