About
There are two courses at the Knollwood Golf Club, the New and the Old. The New Course, which is adjacent to the Old, was built almost 20 years after the original. It is the trickier layout of the two. Although the scenic landscape was already dotted with trees, thousands more were planted to create a more challenging golf course and to enhance the beautiful terrain. The layout features plenty of elevation changes throughout and there are elevated tees where golfers can take in pleasant views. The architect of the New Course, Jack Harris, employed his memories of the most interesting holes he had played around the world to recreate some of them on this course.

Didn't even have the tee blocks out. Movie shoot going on, unable to play 8th and 9th holes. Played poorly to boot but the weather was great!
Course in great condition for beginning of April and the staff were super friendly!
Great start to the season
Great start to the season. Excellent pace of play. I got paired up with some great guys. Course is in ok shape but lots of divots already. The greens are slow...still lots of sand.

An amazing day. Fortunate to be on a course at all...exceeded expectations. Course was in great shape- we really enjoyed the day. Thanks to the starter. A true gentleman who welcomed first time visitors as if we were respected members
Winter golf at its best.
After a short frost delay, we set out, the wife and I walking across the frozen tundra and occasionally pausing to smack a snowball masquerading as a golf ball. Putting on the frosty green produced golf balls too large to fit in the cup with the flag in. Perhaps better chipping would have produced shorter putts. As the day warmed up, so did our playing and a 6 hole run of pars in Ontario on December 11, is a great feeling. On the 9th hole, my wife skipped her tee shot off the ice covered pond to 5 feet from the hole. Sinking her putt, she said it was her best birdie this year.
The course was great, greens were slow and consistent, tee and fairway markers absent but we still played as far back in the tee boxes as the good grass allowed.
We will return when they open next year.
Closed with no refund
I had a tee time booked this morning for 11:30
I showed up 20 minutes prior to find the gate was closed
I was not notified of the courses closure nor have I been given a refund

Really liked the layout
I understand it is End of November so I can understand course being a little rough grooming wise but also greens very slow,
Now I have been told this even in summer months as well
Hopefully next year they will get cut to proper length and rolled
I would have given the course a higher rating do to this

Upsetting staff
We had a tee time and got there 2 hours early and they had an opening when we got there and the manager said they don’t do walk ons and it’s against their policy to get us out when we were there. Ruined my birthday, didn’t get to finish our full round
Unimpressed
It was very unfortunate that the one staff member ruined my experience at this beautiful course. I was excited to enjoy my birthday with my close friends until this blonde haired manager did me dirty.
Great for this time of the year.
Had a great time, everyone was great and very helpful. Course condition was what you expect for this time of year. Leaves on the fairway and top dressed greens. Still a bonus to be playing. Hooked with another couple and had a great time.
Poor conditions
Shockingly poor conditions!! No maintenance crew at all, nor attempting to keep area of play manicured. Tee block areas were destroyed and don’t get me started on the greens! Awful!!
