Knollwood Golf Club - New
About
There are two courses at the Knollwood Golf Club, the New and the Old. The New Course, which is adjacent to the Old, was built almost 20 years after the original. It is the trickier layout of the two. Although the scenic landscape was already dotted with trees, thousands more were planted to create a more challenging golf course and to enhance the beautiful terrain. The layout features plenty of elevation changes throughout and there are elevated tees where golfers can take in pleasant views. The architect of the New Course, Jack Harris, employed his memories of the most interesting holes he had played around the world to recreate some of them on this course.

Knollwood New in great shape....almost
We were quite surprised to see how good the course was. The fairways were green and semi-lush, the greens were really good (slow).
Only negative thing to say is a couple of greens were a little patchy, but overall we were very happy with the course and will add it our normal course rotation list.
Great walking course and value for money.
Hopefully get better next year
Have played this course many times over the years and today was worst it been. Not enough power carts for all players. They had no food available. Drink selection was poor. No beverage cart on the course. Starter/Marshall’s were not managing pace of play. Greens were in terrible conditions, very patchy with just dirt in some places. Tee boxes were hard as rock and had very little grass on them. Also during COVID they had bad signage for cart return and were not enforcing the mask policy inside the clubhouse.
Waste of $
For the price, don’t even bother. Go to Chippewa Creek or Copetown Woods where you actually get value for your money.
Both Old and New Knollwood are a rip off. I can’t believe people actually pay over $30 to play here.
Do they have a greens keeper?
The only complaint that I have with this wonderful golf course is that they need to do something about the state of the greens before it gets out of control! The grass appears to be dying on them and there are big patches of sand to putt through.
Don't get me wrong, it isn't every green, but if they don't "nip this in the butt" they are going to have the same problem they have over at Knollwood Old course.
Stay away! Yikes
Stay away. Paid 105 for a (hot deal) two players and a cart which is laughable for a course in this shape. Half of the greens on the course are in awful shape and bare, tee boxes are beat up. There’s so many better courses for 50 bucks a person with a cart around. No food was available on course, no cart girl either if you like to drink a beer or two.
Gone way downhill
Played this course probably 100 times in the late 90s early 2000s. Swore I would never go back when I heard the new owner raised prices like crazy and took out all the bunkers. However I did go try it last week. It has gotten so much worse it’s almost unplayable. I don’t understand how this place gets any good reviews. Cover the greens in Stoney sand to make them unputtable. Tee blocks are horrendous. No yardage markers. This course should be about $25 with a cart. Not $60-$75. Crazy. Owner absolutely ruined the course
Hot day at Mount Hope
Course was in good shape considering the drought and challenges of the pandemic
The most impressive thing was the entrance gate
No tee blocks, no yardage markers , terrible greens, tee blocks that were chewed up. Sad because the course could be decent. Won’t ever be back
Bad shape
The course was in extremely bad shape. The greens were half bare and the tee boxes were a disaster. I will not be returning back to Knollwood this summer.
Maintenance !
Majority of greens were unplayable.
A little too much money for mid week based on the conditions. May try again next year.
Staff was great, organized & friendly.
Nice golf course and super friendly and helpful staff before tee time.
Thinking seriously about getting a membership at Knollwood for next year.
Will be back soon for sure
Not worth the money
The condition course was horrible. Some patchy fairways and a few brutal greens that are really unplayable.
Charging $50 with a cart is way out of line. Definitely nit worth the $$
