Ariss Valley Golf and Country Club - Willows Course
About
Located on the outskirts of the southwestern city of Guelph, Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club offers 27 holes of scenic golf that sprawl across a rolling landscape of trees and ponds. The Willows golf course is one of the three nine-hole courses at the club. The Willows features an abundance of trees that demand accuracy and keen course management. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also strategically placed, Ohio white sand bunkers throughout the course. Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club's Willow course offers a fair challenge, but it is also approachable for beginning and intermediate players. The other two golf courses provide plenty of other golfing options as well.

Great course.
I've played here three times and I will continue to return. The 27 holes all have large greens that wiil test your putting skills if you're approach shot is not near the flag. The pace of play has been fine and all the staff I've encountered have been very friendly.

OCT 31st golf
Greens were amazing !! for this time of year especially ...no aerating ... so true ...so receptive to shots and fast ! |BUT LUSH !
Great course with a great layout
This is a must play course. A dimond in the rough.
Phenomenal
The course was in phenomenol shape with the recent rains and cool evenings. Not too challenging but challenging enough. As an average golfer I did lose quite a few balls in the high rough, but once I warmed up the fairways were amazing, and the greens perfect. Absolute heaven on this day!
Great value; great greens
Wife and I stayed in St. Jacobs and played Elmira and Ariss.
Enjoyed our golf holiday.
Fairways are terrible, they do not water the fairways
I would go elsewhere and pay the extra $10 for good fairways,
Be Aware
deceivingly tough
This course is harder than it looks on the surface. While it is pretty open, there are a ton of places to get into trouble. A couple of longer carries for the average golfer and lots of water.
Very slow
We played 9 holes in 3 hours. The guy in the pro shop didn't seem to care when we went in to complain. Course was not in great shape especially the fairways.
good outing
got a hot deal the night before, course wasn't too busy so play was quick, conditions were good despite recent hot weather so all in all a nice afternoon .
Immaculate greens
First time playing Ariss. Three 9-hole layouts in rolling country side. Staff are very very friendly and welcoming. Despite near drought-like conditions in Ontario, the large greens were immaculate and were being watered intermittently through the day. If you keep it in play you'll score well. Otherwise tall fescue and rough areas will penalize you. Some blind shots and water to navigate. Tee boxes a little rough but that is the only criticism for an otherwise great outing. Recommend a power cart.
Cool course with 27 holes
Fun course with some challenging holes. 3 par 35 nines, with a variety of hole types. Big rolling greens and fairways, up hills, down valleys etc. I had fun, although it was too dry (like almost all courses in the region ATM)
surprisingly in good shape
staff was very good again, course was in decent shape for a drought and the pace was excellent
Coarse
Fairways good --- 2nd. Cut thick grass --- bunkers working on to make smaller --very good sand--- and greens very large which you will not find on many coarses --- plays near 6000 yards from the whites --- this coarse will give you everything and more---
Bring your " A " game a good value at $38.00. --- Ariss Valley has 27 holes and something for everyone
Will play again
Long and Hilly
Very nice course. Pace was good. Difficulty more related to distance than course layout even though a few holes made you plan the hole prior. Some blind holes on tee-off. Long course which is made longer with numerous hills. Staff very friendly. First time golfing this course. Walked it. I will power cart it next time!
ArissVally
Me and my Son played this course for our first time very nice course for the value . Should have played the white tees rough was thick fairway hits is a must. Greens were very Big and had great roll . We would play this course again .
Course was not it the best o shape Cut the rough Down. A bit please.
Rough is hay and if you go off the fairway your ball is gone US open rough. . The food was good and staff service was great.
Great first round of season
Love this course. Second time playing here. Great conditions for early season. Will play again!
