Ariss Valley Golf and Country Club - Pines Course
About
The Pines is one of three nine-hole courses at Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club, which is located on the outskirts of Guelph. The Pines golf course shares a heavily forested landscape that is dotted with large ponds with the other two courses, the Willows and the Lakes. There is also a creek that winds through several holes. In addition to the water hazards coming into play, the Pines course also features several strategically placed, Ohio white sand bunkers. Each golf course at Ariss Valley Golf & Country Club is uniquely designed to offer a great variety of interesting par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s. The golf courses offer something for players of every skill level

Golfer Reviews
27 holes makes it easy to get a tee off time that suits your needs
The fairways are generous but getting off the tee is crucial. Playing from the blue tees makes birdies hard to come by but the white tees are great for the weekend warrior. The greens are massive with lots of movement. Playing below the hole will save you 5 strokes a round. Above the hole becomes a 3 putt paradise. I have played often and enjoy it but I find myself fixing balls marks on the greens from other players. At $52 per round and $17for a cart, its over priced so the Golfnow deal of $35 for the walk and $17 for the cart is not a bad fit.
nice layout very receptive greens and tricky puts
cousre was a little wet but we have had alot of rain. the wind was hard so it really added to the difficulty
course has some very difficult holes but fair
the greens are fast The only thing that needs some attention is there bunkers. no sand and some has rocks others than that a very nice course
Wide open
Fully enjoyed our round. Clearly thr weather has made for great conditions.
Three nines, full length course, excellent greens!
This course is situated in a valley, therefore i would not recommend playing after rain storm but in dry conditions a most excellent choice!
Course has many challaging holes with some elevation change & some water features to make it interesting
They have 3 nines Pines, Willows & Lakes. We played Pines & Willows , Lakes was quiet wet. Over all in good shape considering the amount of rain we had. Greens were quite slow.
Very forgiving large greens
Went out on a spur of the moment and completed a full 18 with 2 different balls on the scorecard and finished in under 4hrs walking. My only complaint was that I lost 2 balls in the middle of fairway due to the balls plugging deep in the very soggy turf . Played the Pines and Willows.
Long par 5
Great courses. Good value would play again if it was in drier conditions
This course has great features
The course is open with lots of fescue but is beautifully landscaped including a waterfall.
Course is in good shape, very good value with Golfnow discount
27 holes, easy to get started, pace is good. greens are healthy, so they are not cut short and fast, I like fast. I would come back to play here again.
Great Condition Course, Marshel Very Demanding
Played Ariss Valley on sunny afternoon of Sunday May 19. Course well maintained and great condition. Room for forgiveness and variety of holes. Great experience on course. Felt marshal was demanding on where we parked our cart on the rough even though cart rules were open. Consistently requested us to move cart to different locations on rough while putting on green. Should have implement cart path rules for that day or left us alone while putting away.
Looks easy but watch out!
Not a pristine course but Ariss is in good shape. The greens are very large and can be challenging, however they are true and fast. Many of the holes seem straightforward and simple but the strong winds make for many challenging shots. There are also some very challenging holes with well placed water hazards. The course plays much more difficult than it looks.
a hidden waterloo gem
course was in great shape for this early in the season. We golfed at 1pm on a beautiful 20 degree Saturday afternoon and couldnt believe how empty it was. Its a hidden gem, only 20 minutes from Waterloo. mildly challenging course, they had tough pins on sloping greens. will be coming back, and hopefully will get to try the third 9
