Horseshoe Resort - Valley

There is no signage on Horseshoe Valley Road or in the resort for the golf course/pro shop. Lots of pot holes, washouts on the cart paths and all the sand traps were full of water after
The previous nights storm. Foursome behind us were hitting their balls before we finished the 7th & 8th holes and we were almost hit twice. On the 9th hole I was hit by their ball as I drove away from the green. We were keeping pace with the foursome in front of us - in fact had to wait for them to finish their putting several times. No Marshall around so we called it a day and left. The course comped me with 2 free passes when I complained about being hit.

Slowest round I've ever played. Groups of 5, seniors hitting 12 shots, a 25 minute hole (seriously!) with no marshall to control pace. One beverage cart (working both courses) came by ONCE. Back nine was AVERAGING over 20 minutes a hole, so we walked off after 4 hours and 13 holes total. Horrific experience. Grossly understaffed. Don't bother going there even for free.

Course was in great shape although needs a driving range here as well, Clubhouse was under construction so never used any facilities. Cart girl was around to offer beverages. Mountain bikes riding down the fairways was a little disappointing, Again a challenging course in great shape where course management is key to a good score

Incredible fairways, manicured and lush to hit off. The course is breathtaking on it's own, but the groundskeepers make sure that everything not only looks good, but is good.
Staff is very good and friendly. Overall it was an experience I'll never forget, and not just another round of golf.

$25 with a cart on a quality course. Staff was friendly and the scenery was very nice. Highly recommend for the price!

The course was in better shape a couple years ago, however, for the money we paid to golf thru golfnow it was worth it. Wish the marshal would have told ua they switched the front and back 9's around though. Out of habit, we started to play, and ended up playing back 9 first. Good thing it wasn't busy and we were able to keep pace and play.

this is a beautiful course and facility, lots of great views and conditions are better than any course I have played this year.
staff friendly and helpful and due to rain before we teed off the course was almost empty of players so we could play at our own pace.
Greens are soft and hold shots if you land properly and fairways are groomed to meet pro standards for sure.
The only improvement I would like to see are to the cart paths which are in poor shape on front 9 due to bad weather last winter, this does not effect play at all, so it is really no problem.

Poorly maintained. Shaggy greens. Looked like the 3rd day for the holes cuts. Overhanging trees need to be trimmed back on narrow fairways. Bumpy tee blocks. Last played it 7 years ago. Downhill since then. Won't be going back.

Terrific value for money. Would expect to pay in the $100 range for a course of this caliber. Well maintained and groomed. Staff friendly and accommodating. Prefer this course to the Highlands.

Short but narrow, the Par 3's are very challenging fro m the Blue tees. Great value.

Nice course, great condition. Felt a little rushed. 3 hours and 15 minutes from the blues. Still enjoyed the day. Would play again anytime.

Greens were nice but all the other factors detract from the course.

Pace of play was painfully slow. Even though we played on a week day. Any first time golfers staying at the resort are directed to the Valley course.

Food, was terrible. Even the seagulls wouldn't touch it.

Signage to and on the course is terrible for a new player.

For a few dollars more play the Highlands course.

Small greens but nice course had a good time staff was plesant

Great course just poor berage food selection in the morning. Would have loved a java but nowhere to be found. Also, signage issues.

Overall the course was great - beautiful scenery and challenging fairways. Impecable greens. Need a road map to know where the next tee off is.

A great challenge for any golfer it has something for everyone.There are many signature holes but the whole layout has been well thought out. the greens take some reading which just adds to the fun.Overall we loved it and shall return.

I would play again highly recommended. Well manicured and a good test of your ability.

Great deal, tight course where you are able to use all the clubs in your bag.
