About
Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is located just outside of Barrie on what was formerly an important Huron Indian settlement. The golf course is an homage to the former inhabitants of the land, including the Huron Indians and emigrants from the British Isles. The golf course was built to maintain the historical integrity and scenic features of the rustic, rolling landscape. The dramatic elevations throughout the course offer stunning panoramic views of the Niagara Escarpment and the Georgian Bay. Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is relatively short at 6,311 yards from the back tees, but there are still some lengthy shots that will appeal to long hitters, including the par-5 eighth, which stretches to 539 yards.

Great course
The course is beautifully laid out in great condition and a great value.
So well maintained
If you’re in the barrie/horseshoe valley area , settlers is a must play. Shorter course with all kinds of elevations a greens that roll so fast and pure it’s had to make a 2 footer. I recommend this course to all players types . Just remember when you think it’s short….. half the strokes are on the green and I’ve seen way too many 3-4 putts. I am guilty of this on the odd occasion . Enjoy ⛳️
Great experience
The course is great the staff is great and I highly recommend golfers of all skill levels to give this course a try!
Always in good shape
The course is not long but has many challenging holes , great gor all levels of golfer. Great views and fast greens.
A lot of blind tee shots.
Too many blind tee shots for me. I find the round less satisfying hitting into the unknown and then hunting for the ball. Just me tho
Amazing Greens
The whole course was in great shape but the greens stole the show. They were quite fast, true and very challenging.
Hidden Holes.
I thought the course was in really good condition. Greens were slower than I expected. Lots of hidden holes where you couldn't see the golfer in front of you.

Hidden Gem
Played with a threesome, father and his two sons who were all members at this course. Honestly what an experience, course was in outstanding condition. The family that I golfed with were outstanding people and great golfers. Bit of a drive but well worth it.
Tight course
Course was in good condition with a bit of wind helping and hindering shots. The fairways are narrow, so an accurate tee shot is a must, with little chance of finding your ball if you stray past the rough. Not a lot of bends but a few up and down hill blind shots (may have into the group in front and definitely hit into from behind), will be much better the more I play there to know where to go. Not the longest course, but you do need accuracy. I'll be back
