Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is located just outside of Barrie on what was formerly an important Huron Indian settlement. The golf course is an homage to the former inhabitants of the land, including the Huron Indians and emigrants from the British Isles. The golf course was built to maintain the historical integrity and scenic features of the rustic, rolling landscape. The dramatic elevations throughout the course offer stunning panoramic views of the Niagara Escarpment and the Georgian Bay. Settler’s Ghost Golf Club is relatively short at 6,311 yards from the back tees, but there are still some lengthy shots that will appeal to long hitters, including the par-5 eighth, which stretches to 539 yards.

Review
Settlers ghost course conditions are great, only issue with this course is pace of play and every shot is almost blind. There were two times when a ball came flying over towards me at the tee off blocks. I also had two balls stolen after I hit the ball from the tee deck, the players would come over from another fairway and grab the ball believing it was theirs. If the pace of play was better and less blind shots this would have easily five stars as I never saw a course martial once and there was always four groups on one fairway.

Great track
Great challenging but fair track . Lots of bling shots making it a suprising result at times. The greens are among the best if not the best in the barrie area.

The course is beautifully laid out in great condition and a great value.
So well maintained
If you’re in the barrie/horseshoe valley area , settlers is a must play. Shorter course with all kinds of elevations a greens that roll so fast and pure it’s had to make a 2 footer. I recommend this course to all players types . Just remember when you think it’s short….. half the strokes are on the green and I’ve seen way too many 3-4 putts. I am guilty of this on the odd occasion . Enjoy ⛳️
Always in good shape
The course is not long but has many challenging holes , great gor all levels of golfer. Great views and fast greens.
A lot of blind tee shots.
Too many blind tee shots for me. I find the round less satisfying hitting into the unknown and then hunting for the ball. Just me tho
Amazing Greens
The whole course was in great shape but the greens stole the show. They were quite fast, true and very challenging.
