About
The Valley Course is a heavily forested golf course is the original layout at the club. The course is unique in that it has relatively short yardages rated with such high slopes mainly due to the tight fairways and numerous elevation changes. The driver will most likely stay in your bag while the long irons will be used often. The golf course is very tight, offering an ideal place to get some practice with irons. It is also provides an ideal warm-up round for the more difficult course at the Horseshoe Resort, the Highlands Course.

FAST GREENS
With all the rain we have had the greens and fairways are in great shape. The greens must have just been cut ,they were fast.But the best part about this valley course is that almost each hole you feel like your out thier by yourself with all the trees.Its not all jammed in thier together.
Beautiful course
Haven't played here for a number of years and was happy to see the course not only as good as it used to be ,but even better. From being met in the parking lot with a cart, through the pro shop and starter it was a great experience. Course was in excellent shape and the price on a hot deal was super.
Great Value … Tight course
Horseshoe Highlands is a challenging test of golf. Your drives BETTER be accurate … your approach shots accurate and your putter better be working … in order to score well. The greens are 'tiny' … they have plenty of slope and break so you'll need to lag putt most of them and be aggressive on those holes where you've stuck it close to the pin. The course is in excellent condition … the practice area is GREAT … with sand bunkers to use as well. All in all … while I griped about the narrow fairways … the course was a good test my skills … it was worth the drive …

THIS COURSE WAS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. CHALLENGING AND VERY PICTURESQUE.
I enjoyed playing this course. It was in excellent condition, challenging and the game moved at a good pace.

Nice course for the money we paid.
Some drainage issues. Some of the course layouts were not visible. Hole layout on the score card would be helpful. No water in one outhouse used. Good for the price we paid though.

The course is relatively short (blue tee is under 5,800 yd).

The Valley was great everthough it rained, we enjoyed the challenge.
It's been a few years since I played the Valley. I heard it wasn't that great but didn't listen to the critics, thank God. This is a must play, I totally found this as tough as I've ever played. The greens where spectacular and quick for the amount of rain we got. My playing partner is a single digit handicap, I witnessed a smooth 94 YIKES!! (this course can bite you!) You MUST hit it straight, I never lost a ball and shot a 72, for me that is an unreal score.
Both of us are considering joining as members. I have no issues at all spreading the word about how great the Valley is. Good Luck, and play well!!

good course at a great price
The course was in good shape, nice day for golf. Heard a rumor of this course being closed, to bad I like it better then the Highlands
Valley Course
Very narrow tree lined holes - Target golf - They didn't have our GolfNow Reservation, but got us out okay - Screeching from all the golf carts (including our own) was heard all over the course and was a bit distracting - Staff were helpful and friendly
Great Track, Fairly Challenging
Track is in great condition with all the rain lately. Bring a few extra balls!
Superb scenery.
The course is well maintained for the price. Great staff. I play there every year on the canada day long weekend.
Slow play with inactive marshals
Any time we play here, it seems to have a slow group who holds up the coarse. The last time they booked a small tournament right in front of us that really slowed things up. The management should have left space between us. Even coarse members were complaning.
Staff were wonderful and the fairways great condition.
Love the course, it was well maintained. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Will play there again in the near future.
Beatiful scenery
Love the course. It's really nice not to be overcrowded with housing developments like some courses. Nice old growth bush, like going for a nature hike. Nice tight fairways, greens are very nice also. Recommend!
Carts need attention
Great track...Quite challenging but the carts need a few improvements. all I heard was the sound of squeaking from around the course, including my cart. the belts are very loose, so the sound they make is, (very much annoying !) It started to rain quite hard for a short time, the carts have no covers on the back, so EVERYTHING GOT WET, a resort of this calibre should have better carts.
