Southbrook Golf Club
About
Nestled in the quaint village of Binbrook, Southbrook Golf Club has a charmingly idyllic yet convenient location that is only minutes from the QEW, the 403, and the Lincoln Alexander Parkway. The club first opened in 1969 with a nine-hole golf course, which was later expanded to 18 holes in 1972. A renovation of the golf course resulted in a redesign of five holes on the front nine and a new irrigation system. Southbrook Golf Club now plays to a 6,560 yards and its new challenges demand precision and keen course strategy. The meandering Welland river snakes through the golf course as well, coming into play on 13 holes while also enhancing the natural beauty of the course.

Hold on to your ..........................
I had not played Southbrook in several years. For November 21st, it was great to get out and putt on regular NOT sanded greens. The course was soaked in some areas and the winds were about 70 kph. I hit a 5 iron 140 yards into it.....
The complimentary sausage after 9 was fabulous. It really hit the spot. I will go back next summer when you get some roll and much much less wind.
We had a great time all things considered. I was 3 over after the front 9.............
Last round 2017
Considering the rain from the previous evening was light, I didn't expect the course to be as wet as it was. When reserving on GolfNow, I believe there should be a flag indicating that power carts were not allowed out. The reservation was for walking but my intention was to drive the course.
Great staff great course
Very busy day at the course and I had some late partners and the staff bent over backwards to help us get out on the course. Thanks
nice course
Nice course with some tricky shots. Very friendly staff. A little slower pace than I am used to but normal when a course is busy as this.
Love southbrook. It's always in great shape. Greens and fairways were very dry and fast.
Will be back
Course condition a bit rough
Played Southbrook for the first time on a very windy Labor Day Monday. The course has some interesting holes but overall I found the course condition to be a rough.
There were a lot of bare spots in the fairways and the cost cart paths are quite bumpy with lots of rocks scattered over them.
Great fun, great course, great food
I've played here a few times and every time I notice something that is better then the last time I played. I'm always greeted by friendly staff, the course is challenging but forgiving. Looking forward to my next round there.
Course was in disappointing shape
Hard bare spots on teeing ground, bare spots in fairways surprising for the amount of rain we've had in these parts. Also , from the red tees, some hazards are just where the average lady drives her ball. Some par threes require a driver for a lady golfer. Not quire ready yet for those further forward red tees, but a happy medium would do! Greens were bumpy.
I expected course to be in better condition for this time of season.
I liked the course, the staff in the pro and clubhouse were very good, I did not like th emarshall telling us we were holding up the pace of play midway on the second hole. He pointed out that my daughter ( a beginner) was holding us up, didn't mention that we were a foursome and we were waiting on the foursome in front of us, did tell my daughter to take only 2 practice swings and that when he first started playing, southbrook marshal asked him to leave the course because he was so slow. I have heard of other people complaining about the marshalls at southbrook , now I know why!
Great design, challenging course
Played at 6am from the back tees. Had a lot of fun in this course.
The course is in the middle of the countryside and you only hear birds throughout the round.
The design is great, it has a decent entertaining and challenging length without being crazy. Good combination between very long (450ish) and short (350ish) yards par 4's.
The trees in the course are absolutely beautiful: old, big and well maintained.
The greens were in very good shape, the ball rolled very good. However, half of the greens seemed to be very old basic designs and are small, with no movement or bunkers around.
The staff is super friendly!
I'll definitely come back!
Whats with the marshall
The title says it all whats with the marshall we were not holding up play as there was no one behind us and the marshall was still bothering us we were new players we were playing as fast as we could again there was no one behind us
We are very sorry about the situation with the marshal and will address it immediately. Our #1 focus is service and this is not right.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we wish your daughter all the best in learning the sport of golf! We hope that you will give us another try so please email me at ryan@southbrookgolf.ca.
