Glen Eagle Golf Club - Red/Blue
About
Glen Eagle Golf Club, which is situated just northwest of Toronto, offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course features undulating fairways and large, heavily contoured greens that move fast. The Red nine is the most difficult of the three nines at the club. It demands keen course management skills and accurate tee shots. It also requires a few long drives at 3, 521 yards form the tips. The Blue nine is challenging as well, but there are birdie opportunities on the 5th and 7th since their greens aren't elevated like all of the others.

I've played this course a half dozen times over the last year, enjoyed the course and the staff, I would recommend this course
Underwhelming
Staff were friendly enough but showed very little enthusiasm and seemed like they did not want to be there at all. On course Marshall was nice.
Course was in ok shape, half the greens had old punch holes and half didn't. Tees were 50/50 and fairways were fine but there was definitely some lack of attention to detail in terms of maintenance.
Overall, I would call it average. Better kept courses in the area for the same money. Wouldn't tell people not to play here, but definitely would recommend elsewhere.
Consistently good round
Glen Eagle is consistent with good quality. Finished round in 4hr 20m. Layout is great. It's a 4 star and not 5 because fairway and green were patchy in some areas. 13.5 for range bucket, good price. Blue course is fun, yellow course not the best, red course very good.
Nice course but too expensive
Glen Eagle has always been a nice course to play a round at. They have 27 holes (3 nines) which usually helps keep the round fresh.
My only complaint was paying $100 for 18 holes with a cart on a Friday. For the caliber course, I expect a round here should cost about $80 for 18 holes with a cart, especially on a Friday. I get paying more on a weekend, and even then i don't think course should be more than $95 on a Saturday at prime time.
Overall great, but not much in food or drinks.
I’ve had mixed experiences here in the past, but this time I was very happy with the course conditions. Tee boxes were good, fairways VERY good and greens EXCELLENT. Some bunkers could use a little work but no real complaints.
Weather wasn’t stellar so it wasn’t very busy. Two groups we caught up with happily let us play through.
The main bar/restaurant was essentially closed down. Bottled drinks and pre-made sandwiches only. The reasoning was Covid, which doesn’t make sense as every other course is in full operation. Plus, one of the few industries not severely impacted by Covid was golf. Bookings skyrocketed.
I question whether management has a handle on things and if the quiet day was truly because of the weather or word is getting around.
I’d definitely play here again if the price is right.
nice course
very nice course will play again
would of been nice if half way house open
Decent but over valued.
Pro shop was slow. Not sure if this was my experience only but got there ready to Play 10min before tee time with only one group ahead.of me to settle payment. Barely out on the tee in time. What was aggravating was after the group ahead paid, and being eager to move up to cash, had to wait for both pro shop check in reps to finish off some conversation before acknowledging my presence. Ugh. Other than that had a lovely day on the course.
