Glen Eagle Golf Club - Red/Blue

About
Glen Eagle Golf Club, which is situated just northwest of Toronto, offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course features undulating fairways and large, heavily contoured greens that move fast. The Red nine is the most difficult of the three nines at the club. It demands keen course management skills and accurate tee shots. It also requires a few long drives at 3, 521 yards form the tips. The Blue nine is challenging as well, but there are birdie opportunities on the 5th and 7th since their greens aren't elevated like all of the others.

Beautiful course
Best conditions of the year, fantastic value and great layout
Fantastic
Beautiful conditions, wonderful course, great staff
Needs work
Glen Eagle has been around forever, and honestly, it shows. The course is in OK shape, with the same ground under repair from a year ago. The clubhouse is essentially non-existent. There doesn't seem to ever be anyone working the bar, and pre-made sandwiches are the only option.
There are usually 3 9-hole courses (Red, Yellow, Blue) but this time they had a layout called "the original course". Fine ... except for those of us who use apps and GPS watches. There's no such layout to select. For several holes, I had no idea of layout or distances which was really frustrating.
Given the price ($100 with cart) I'd expect Glen Eagle to be reinvesting into modernizing the clubhouse, and fix the ongoing course repair.
Must play here at least least once per season
My buddies and myself always try to get out here at least once per season. Great course well maintained with a few challenging holes. Generally good choices for t times if you book in advance
Great Bang for the buck
Price was good on cart. Greens were great no to undulating, large and running great. Enough trees to make it challenging but relatively forgiving as below the trees are grass and not fescue. Enough water holes and hilling fairways.
3 x 9 holes course Blue hole 9 ends a long way back from clubhouse. Walking this would be a drag to get back after your round.
Hole 1 signage was not as easy to figure out for a first timer. easy enough afterwards
I would definitely play here again with tips playing around 6,800 yards gives a choice for any handicap player to choose from.
