Glen Eagle Golf Club - Yellow/Red
About
Located just northwest of Toronto, Glen Eagle Golf Club offers three unique nines that provide three different 18-hole, championship courses. Spread across a scenic terrain of rolling hills and valleys, each course has unique vistas. The Yellow/Red golf course combines the most difficult nine with another that is considerably shorter with many opportunities for birdies. The 3,227-yard Yellow nine provides a gentle start with several short par 4s but prepare yourself for the Red, which stretches to 3,521 yards from the tips. This nine is the most difficult, demanding long drives as well as accurate tee shots. There are also large, elevated greens that are heavily contoured and surrounded by bunkers.

paid too much for the course conditions
should have spring rate , it was very wet and the greens had been aerated recently so very bumpy
DO NOT BOOK HERE
Just had a pretty brutal experience here. For starters, under no circumstances should this course be 100 plus bucks for a tee time, awful value for money; there are MUCH nicer courses within a half hour drive of this place for the same price. With that being said, allow me to describe my experience today: Despite waking up to the potential of a bit of rain in the forecast (less than a mill an hour), our group was still excited to get out and play Glen Eagle for the first time. We arrived almost an hour early for our 10:30 tee time and hit the range to warm up. When arriving to the tee box 5-10 mins before 10:30, the course was already pretty backed up as we were greeted by a minimum of 4 groups milling around waiting to tee off. When we finally tee off we are stuck behind a group of hackers with no concept of pace of play. After getting through two holes in 40 mins the rain started to come down harder and when we checked the radar we realized it was about to get torrential in less than an hour. We decided to call the pro shop, explain the situation, and see if we could get a rain check, which they said was fine. However, when we got to the pro shop, they gave us a rain check for half the value of the round. When we asked if we could at least try to get another couple holes in then if we were only getting a half rain check, we were met with a rude no. I feel pretty ripped off and honestly don’t even really want to go back to this course to use the half refund and have to fork over more money to these pricks. Anyways, all in all a terrible first experience at a course and I will very likely never be back, half rain check or not.
November golf
haven't played this course in over 30 years and enjoyed the round. Not many years you find a course in good shape in November and enjoyed the layout and will return as there are some hidden hazzards through out the course that will make the next round more enjoyable
Fall rates
The fall rates brought us to the course, and we had a great time playing in the morning. The fog added to the mood.
Not worth the money
Great course but can definitely find better value for your money. If you’re just starting out golf I wouldn’t recommend this course as it is a bit difficult. Lots of hill and narrow entrances to the greens. Nevertheless, it was still enjoyable. Course conditions were not the best as they’re currently fixing certain areas and for the amount we paid I feel they should’ve been better. The midway house was also not open for washrooms and food and there was no cart person driving around with drinks and snacks.
The Picture of Mismanagement
Talk about an experience that was poor from start to finish.
Got to the course and the pro shop was empty. No one there. Waited a few minutes then called the course on my cell. NO answer. Called again and left a message telling them I was waitng to check in. To this very moment have not had a return call.
After 10 minutes they came to check us in - no apology, couldn't care less.
Then this mismanagement of the course was reflected throughout.
Bunkers with hardly any sand, par 3 tee boxes that were so chewed up you cannot find a flat place to stand to tee off. and of course the chewed up greens where people did not repair the divets.
The WORST golf experience I've had this year and will NEVER return.
Pace too slow
Two many people around because of
tournament held at the same time.Pace is too slow.It toke almost six hours finish
playing.Got tire and hungry.You won't feel
good at playing.
