Club at Bond Head - South

I played south course. It was very nicely maintained all around the course. Green speed was perfect, rough was very thick and tough.

I really want to play again soon and strongly recommend everyone.

I'll start off by saying that I played for about $65 through a GolfNow deal.

For $65 this course is absolutely worth it.

However, for anything close to the $120 that they normally charge I would be much more inclined to play elsewhere.

Both Bondhead courses are fantastic in their design and layout. The holes are never too challenging, but they force you to make high risk/reward decisions. You also can be forced to use many different clubs in your bag.

The tee boxes are decently spaced apart, so the distances will be varied greatly depending on what tees you play.

When we arrived to the course we asked that our tee time be pushed back about 15 minutes so that we could go to the driving range prior to teeing off. As the course was quiet around the 1st hole, they allowed us to do so.

We teed off and didn't see a group in front of us until around the 5th hole (we were not playing quickly at all). The group in front was a twosome, but we did notice that they were taking a very very long time and often wasted 5 or more minutes just looking for their balls in the trees.

On the back nine we got through a few holes before having to wait at each tee box. By the 14th hole we realized that we were already at the 4 and a half hour point and decided to just leave.

There were no martials out on the course and nobody pushing people along. As we drove the rest of the holes to return to the clubhouse we saw that many of the holes had 2-3 groups on them.

It is quite disappointing that the course didn't send out 1 of the 20 staff members sitting around the clubhouse to go push things along.

While I would consider playing again for the price, I would still rather play somewhere that I know would keep the game moving so that a respectable time could be kept.

Excellent layout, lots of room....greens fast, and very tricky....although we played at 10:40 sand traps were not groomed, some were full of water, and it hadn't rained in days

Played Friday weather was near perfect. I've played the north course a couple of times and really enjoyed it. Many Club Link members prefer this one. I personally liked the north a little better. It was a real nice course. A true "Links style" course. If the wind was up it could play real havoc on your day. Greens were fast and extremely tricky. Some real tough pin placements as well. Some of the bunkers had no sand in them some had plenty. Others were crusty, like dried mud in them. Many of our shots bounced right out of the bunker. Which was not always a plus as there was plenty of fescue around the bunkers, and sometimes in the bunker. Definitely of good value and an easy drive from the city. Local knowledge of this course would have been of value as it can be quite tricky.

Definitely will return and hopefully do a little better as it got the best of me.

First time playing the South and enjoyed it. In good shape for this early in the year.

GolfNow Spring-pricing made this golf game very enjoyable. It's a 45-minute drive from midtown Toronto (usual mid-morning traffic#. The course now has all-you-use driving range fee #$9# before your round. The starters #Ian, etc.# were very nice and welcoming.

The weather was sunny but equally chilly once the wind picked up. I felt sorry for the cart-girl who was motoring around in her open cart trying to generate some revenue/sales. Not many golfers on the South course, so Ian started me on the back-9. All by lonesome. Love it. I was done in 1.25 hours. The front-nine took longer as I was behind a threesome that took 2 hours. No problem. Although coming off the 7th Hole, I took an extra few minutes trying to find the T-Box for the 8th Hole. No signage to redirect you off the 7th green. I went right, then reversed to the former green. Then went straight...wrong. I made a U-turn and then went left. Found it.

Greens are in good shape and understandably slow at this time of year. Fairways are in very good shape and respective drainage #due to April showers and coolish weather# made fairways very playable. Bunkers are not prepped or groomed, yet.

The course has a lot of wind impacting a golfer's game. A number of the holes are into the wind which required an increase of using one-to-two additional clubs. The cold didn't help but it was fun, nonetheless.

The GPS device in the cart is a nice addition. I brought my own and found the course's device confirming the results I found on mine #GolfNow App).

The course is beautiful, amazing views and fast greens . hard in the wind . Could be maintained better but overall very nice

Watch for false front greens. A joy to play. My friends and I will go back.

Very friendly staff! From the very first contact with staff - greeted with a smile. The course is in great condition for this time of year and offers beautiful architectural holes and views. I'll be here to play again !

For the end of the golfing season the course is in incredible condition. The greens are incredibly fast and rolling quite well. The tees were recently punched but that was a non issue. Leaves are blown well away from where any shot should be.

Very interesting south course, you have to manage your play in order to enjoy the course.

I was very impressed with the crew that there are no leaves on the fairway at all.

Played there as single, paired up with a very friendly member along with another twosome, course was in great condition, very nice staff, had a fun time.

Compared to other courses, poor customer service.
No 'hello', 'how are you?' or greetings of any kind from the pro shop staff or the starter.
Felt the starter was actually rude to another group of golfers.
Only courteous encounter with any staff was on the range.
No marshals on course.
Never out of position with the group in front but the group behind had no problem hitting into us on a few holes.
Range was always included with my previous visits.
If you book through GolfNow, it is not.

This is my second time playing this course. It is an awesome layout, very challenging and very contoured greens. Lots of three putts if you don't put it close. Club house is amazing as well. I would go back in a heartbeat.

The South course is longer and tougher than the North course. The greens on the South will definitely challenge even the best putters! Overall this course was a great test from the Gold Tees and is kept in great condition.

It's running around a stimp of 11. Could explain why the round took 5 hours. Overall very good course. I used to come here a lot but made it back first time this year. Looks like they've lowered their price a lot compared to the past. They took away the free range. Have to pay $7.50 per person for use of range.

Weather was perfect and the greens were awesome, other then a few three puts I had because the greens were so fast.
