A good nine hole course for walking.
Last time I played here more than two weeks ago, it was not that good but today the fairways were much better, the greens were good and the pace seems to be fine. I would recommend anyone who wants to play 9 walking as it’s seems to be one of the longest nine hole golf course.
Really Bad Conditions
Save your money go to a Driving Range instead. Pace was terrible 3 groups waiting at every hole. Marshall did not even speed up the groups. Poor conditions and bad greens. I’m sorry just being honest. Perfect for beginners and teaching your kids to play.
Not the best course to play but great value for your money. Hard to beat the value
so here is my review with the bad and good.
The bad: the course lacks shade, there is trash of overflowing trash bins, the grounds are hard which makes balls roll forever, the grounds aren't kept at the same level of other courses.
The good: pace of play is decent, the cost to play is equivalent to a large bucket of balls at the range, several par 5's requiring you to use your hole bag, balls are easy to locate, the staff is friendly. And last but not least everyone who I have been matched with has been good company and fun to talk too.
To properly evaluate this course you have to take into consideration this is a budget course. It easier to get tee times which is hard nowadays, and you get a good 2 to 2 1/2 hrs of play for $20
If you can oversee some of the course issues this place is a great bargain. I have played twice so far and will continue to visit. I do wish there was a bit more shade but it is what it is.
I am still relatively new to golf (my second year) and I know this course gets allot of reviews that are negative. But as far as I am concerned I believe those reviews are jaded as they are expecting more than what this course is meant to be.
For the cost of a large bucket of balls at any driving range id rather do 9 holes here and practice all of my shots, from long drives, around the green pitches, and putting practice.
Ultimately its not the best course but its hard to beat the value if you are looking for practice and to improve your game.
Absolute garbage
The course was underwater the green was all mud and the fairway was covered in weeds and grossly overgrown.
Too bad!!
The course layout was good. The conditions were horrible. I wouldn’t even spend the $10 cost for the back nine.
There was no sand in the traps, only daisies and butter cups, yet they had rakes there. Ridiculous. .
Terrible course.
I was absolutely appalled. I took my dad golfing today. And from the moment you drive up. The course looks terrible. Weeds up to knees and the the grass that is cut is brown and burnt. Ground is hard as a rock and there aren’t even bunkers. The bunkers are just rough grass and cement. 67$ per round with cart. I wouldn’t pay that again. No value to golf there it’s so Un enjoyable. I’m shocked.
I was warned this was crap
A friend warned me that Parkshort was a 1/10 and easily the worst course he had seen.
Parkshore did not disappoint. Hard, brown fairways, patchy greens, and mud or overgrown bunkers.
Take your kids for the first time maybe, otherwise, skip it.
I would recommend against playing at Parkshore
The course is in Horrid condition Maneuvering the course difficult. It is the worst quality course I have ever played at.
Think the rain helped to improve the course
The rain did soften the course a bit and the fairways and greens are better than most previous reviews. However, many greens still have brown patches with no grass and the staff placed the pin on those green portion of the green to avoid the brown patches. It will take time to regrow. Some fairway areas are quite muddy but for walking, one can avoid those muddy areas. It's a long course and has to bring out all your clubs to test your skill. 560 yards par 5 and 400 yards+ par 4 and 200 yards par 3 are not easy to deal with. Finished within two hours as not many players around. Staffs are well mannered and check in is quick and easy. Depending on what type of players you are, this course may or may not be of interest as condition is still below par and scenery is so so. But this is a formal 9 hole course and can spend less than two hours to enjoy. Not a bad alternative.
Bargain for 9 holes. Course in desperate need of some TLC and maintenance. Could be a gem for $20.00.
