Whispering Ridge Golf Course
About
Whispering Ridge Golf Course is an executive course that was designed to complement its sister course, the nearby Lakeridge Links. Although it does not have the same length the championship Lakeridge Links has, it still offers about the same level of difficulty. The layout offers a different set of challenges, providing a compelling alternative to the other course. Its design is versatile enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. A few water hazards come into play throughout as well as several deep, strategically placed bunkers. The gently rolling terrain provides some undulations in the fairways and greens. The par-3 third hole is one of the most challenging on the golf course with a gulch along the right as well as sand and rough to the left, all waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. Accuracy is a necessity on this tricky hole.

three holes that were closed I couldn't even drive the golf cart in the course was so wet and they charged regular price this course should be closed
Course disrupted by Construction
I was not made aware at time of booking that the course was being impacted by construction of houses. Two holes were completely closed and a third one was shortened to a par 3. The holes that were open were in reasonable shape for the time of year but there was construction all around, noisy, and you had to deal with mud and temporary barriers when moving about the course.
MAJOR CONSTRUCTION!
Worst conditioned course I've played in years. Infrastructure for a future housing development has made Whispering Ridge almost unplayable. Two holes are closed completely, but nothing was mentioned before we started. 16 hole round!? 18 hole price. Traps were a disgrace...didn't appear to have been maintained at all. Greens weren't terrible but tee boxes and fairways were very poor. the marshal was very friendly but he did allow a husband and wife to skip a hole where the construction had closed number 5 and 6 and jump ahead of us to the 8th tee and from then on we had to wait several times before hitting our shots. The back 9 had a groundskeeper trimming grass follow us four 4 consecutive holes. Should have been cutting in reverse order. We hadn't played here in a couple of years and were shocked to see how poor things had gotten. Prepaid on Golfnow a few days earlier but the pro shop and starter didn't seem to have us on their sheet, although they were quite friendly. I just hope the luxury housing development that has started includes a major update of the course as part of the plan. Otherwise I'm afraid there will be some extremely P.O'd new homeowners who purchased in a golf course community only to find that the course is disgraceful. This is the executive course, so hopeful Lakeridge Links, the championship course on the same property, where there is no construction, has much higher maintenance standards.
Definitely recommend
Course is a little confusing because of the construction happening for lakeridge links estates but overall a great course for a decent price
Great short course
Great short course to work on Iron play. Just need to take care of greens a bit more and cart paths are a little rough. Par 3 16th careful with a cart you could get swallowed in a hole. Overall 4/5 for me tho, will come back
Golf and Construction
We had a great day of golf! The weather was so hot and humid and it was already 8am. The only distraction was all the construction happening around and through the course. Hopefully the next time we play it’ll be all cleared up
Course is sold for home development and it’s falling apart. Car part filled with pot holes and the greens are shabby
Nice course, terrible shape
This course is in desperate need of some TLC. It is ROUGH.
