Close for the season
Now I understand why couses are closed . The conditions were really bad because of all the rain we have had recently. I imagine some golfers would enjoy just to be able to get out and play for myself not the case.
Nothing hidden about the lakes in the course today
Extremely flooded on the course that is expected around this time of year but the degree of how flooded this course was today is way beyond what an average golfer would feel reasonable
lack of staff, no starter at the tee, had to find the pro shop, had to raise my voice to get a guy in the office to notice me, shop is closed at sunset no washroom facilities available at that point, I would play there again but if staff conditions havent improved it will be my last time to play there, too bad becauae fairways and greens were excellent
Fall golf
Course was in good shape, a little wet. When we arrived we were informed that it was walking only so one of our golfer had to bail out. Hopefully I can get my money back, since I paid in advance with GolfNow.
Great course
I played a hidden Lake New Course about 3 years ago so it as nice to be back. The course was in great shape and I’m looking forward to being back again.
hidden lake oct 2021
cool weather 15C bit of rain - starter was very accommodating in letting me out early by myself. eventually got stuck behind groups that wanted to take their time and not let me play through. really great to get out mid Oct and get a handful of rounds in for rest of year. Hidden Lake always has a beautiful feel for Fall golf.
Decent Greens
Good beer, good friends, nice hole layout and really good weather. Will play this course again when the price is better.
thanksgiving hidden lake new course
starter was real attentive to ensure groups were moving and was keen enough to call marshall to push groups that started slow. meant we finished in 4hr10min. was grouped with 3 - one from Ottawa and his two sons - they were hitting like pro's - I was less so - 103 for the day! $90 to walk in the fall not ideal - but hidden lake both courses always great.
Disappointing
For a Clublink course, the tee boxes were in very poor condition. Very chopped up. Nobody repaired their pitch marks.
We were paired up with a couple of senior members who insisted on playing from the blue tees even though they never hit any green in regulation. They continually raced ahead to get to their balls even before my wife hit her tee shot from the forward tees. Extremely annoying.
We felt continually rushed because the starter ignored the 10 minute interval.
We walked off after 9 holes.
We won't be back.
