Golfer Reviews
Suburban sanctuary
This short course is very flat and it's fairways are lined with housing somewhat obscured by trees. Greens, fairways and bunkers were in great shape. Layout moderately interesting with several water hazards. If you're fighting a hooking or slicing driver you will be in backyards for the entire round.
Tee Blocks
The only issue I had was with the tee blocks. Typically they should remain flat so the golfer has a perfect position from point of start.
Not a difficult course, however given that it is located right in the middle of the city, I have no complaints.
Good Round
Greens and fairways were in good shape. Tees could use some work.
Worth the money, great pace of play for a weekend.
Surprisingly challenging course
Despite coming in under 6,000 yards and having more than its fair share of par-3s, I keep finding this course surprisingly challenging at times. Even though I shot two-8s in the front, a 7 in the back and a 3-put on the 17th, I ended up with an 87. My friends did not fare as well with scores of 97, 99 and 105.
You need to keep focused since you are surrounded by deep woods, heavy bush and close proximity of homes.
I especially liked the greens this time around, true rolls and surprisingly quick at times. I would love to see these greens rolled to get them even faster.
The secret to a good score here is managing your game and expectations well, and thus not taking unnecessary or unrealistic chances. Depending on your proficiency, an extra sleeve or two of balls may be warranted.
*** I rated the Quality of food & Beverages as Average even though I did not have anything to eat or drink this time around. The burgers and dogs at the turn looked great though.
My only complaint is the pace of the game. We could have used the help of a marshal with a slow group that was two groups ahead of us.
Good value for the money
Got a deal on GolfNow so the price was good. Course is in good condition, lots of sand but it's fair. Greens a little slow on the day we were there. We took carts because it was part of the GN deal, but the course is very walkable. Playing in less than 4 hours on a late summer afternoon
Nice course nestled in the community
Decent Course, good condition and some challenging holes.
loved the course
Had not played it before as We thought it would be too narrow.pleasantly surprised. The Marshall was great.I had lost my club.He returned it on the course.Thought I might need it.excellent customer skills.will return
Great Golf
Excellent golf for both beginner and experienced golfer. Great shape.
Not worth it
Conditions are terrible, the location of the course simply cannot support proper irrigation? Burnt grass everywhere, fairway in very rough shape, tee boxes were unnacceptable to anyones standerds. Worse than the conditions was pace of play, 4 minutes short of 5 hours. Waited at every single hole. When we arrived I asked the starter about estimated pace of play, and he informed he had no idea because they were short staff today.... Go somewhere else, not worth the money!
Great Course
Short but good for the confidence. Narrow fairways (try not to hit houses) makes up for the lack of difficulty. One of my favorite courses.
Stay out of the concrete bunkers
I've played this course a few time over the past 2 years and am tired of the concrete bunkers. How hard is it to get sand already?
5 hourplus round is unacceptable
5 hour plus round is unacceptable at Millcroft...
Had to wait every tee for the existing groups ahead..
the three that was booked with me & and a fourth person added in was a first time player so the day
was not a good day for my company I had in from PEI
Well manicured course
Conditions were excellent and course was in magnificent condition. Difficult enough but also gives the new golfer areas to play safe. Will definitely return to this course.
Tight, not long
Very tight, not long. Played as two, but hooked up with two ahead as it was really slow. Twosome behind us were really bothersome even to the point of driving to the next hole to see if they could just skip us. Pace of play was not our fault. Do not play this course if you spray the ball. Surrounding houses are too close. Only played nine as lightning took precedence!
Beauty
One of my favorite courses in the Burlington area variety of all kinds of shots for a short course please pretty difficult from the long piece
Nice course, slow pace of play
Course was in nice shape, fast greens, good fairways, challenging at time and some long holes. We had some bad weather and couldn't finish the back 9. The pro shop staff was okay, some of the older gentlemen were not very accommodating or friendly. Bar staff were really nice. Food was okay.
My biggest complaint was pace of play. They had the course jam packed which took us 3 hours to do 9 holes riding. We waited (sometimes with 2 ahead of us) at every hole.
Nice course amongst homes.
Good course through a subdivision (that doesn't feel that way due to the layout and trees to a large extent). Nice greens and course was in great shape. You need to keep aware of trouble spots (some water, sand and narrow fairways) and then you can score well. Good staff.
