PLAYING MILLCROFT
An excellent shorter course (5700) but very well kept. Greens are expansive, fast and tricky.A good selection of different holes that will test your ability. A127 slope rating from the blues and fairly expansive fairways, make this a fairly easy course for scoring for 1-15 hdcp..
I Love Millcroft
Great course, great food, great location! Love playing here, pace is always good and the course is kept in great shape.
Another awesome day at Millcroft
Absolutely stunning shape...greens rolled true and played in under 3 hours at 1:30pm on a Wednesday!!! How much better can it get?
Nice course
Good course, a little bit short but has very well maintained green and fairways
Interesting true Links layout
Tight challenging course, not long but some punishing holes. Back 9 a bit different with only 2 par 4's. I would go back.
Why can't we play through?
If you're in a twosome in a cart and you're waiting on every hole for the foursome that is walking in front of you- shouldn't they let you play through?
And if they don't offer and you ask, shouldn't they let you play through?
And if they so "no" and you ask the guy driving around in the cart called "marshall" shouldn't he tell them to let you play through?
And if he does not assist?
Find a different golf course!
Looks like they give preferential treatment to their members here.
Very benign course built within a subdivision.
Be prepared for a slow round and lack of golf protocols.
Good Price
Got a good deal $40 course in nice shape compared to others in the area and not overpriced like Hidden Lake ,Lowville,Dragon Fire
Great experience
Pros:
Friendly staff
Cool layout of the course
Fairways, greens and bunkers are well kept
Challenging yet forgiving fairways
Cons:
Gasoline golf carts
Some tee boxes are convexly shaped which impedes a proper stance
Course in Great shape.
Course was in great shape and was worth the money. Pace of play was less than 3 and a half hours.
Great Value
- great value
- relatively short course
- greens and fairways are in great condition
- good variety of holes
Great Course For All Levels Of Ability
Course was in great shape, But the bunkers werent consistant some had enough sand and others were hard, But all said and done really enjoyed the track, was the first time seeing it and would consider it a "Hidden Gem"
Good course at discount m
Good Course for the money if getting discount on golfnow. 10 min from my home.
Bunkers Galore
Nice course, but houses so close to the fairway on a few holes - had a few near misses! Loved dodging the bunkers.
Going again next week!
Slow groups in front
Slow groups in front caused us to join another twosome as we were both waiting to tee off. Marshall didn't seem to think it was moving slow... Not sure what his idea of a good pace is.
Beer girls kept us hydrated and the course was in good shape.
Great course. Great value.
First off the course is never super busy. From the Marshall to the food and beverage staff everyone is always nice. The course itself is in great condition, especially the greens. Have played here several times and will be back later in the year.
this course has plenty of sand traps
a nice course to play, with challenges for all levels of players.
Challenging yet Fun
With thanks to the pro-shop attendee I was able to get started on my round sooner as I arrived well ahead of my tee time. The course is challenging requiring more precise shots than expected yet rewarding if played right. There need to be more marshalls and certainly with groups of 4 that take longer than appropriate to complete the holes. I can only imagine how much longer my round would have been if I wasn't a single and able to get by slower groups. I would definitely play this course again at the price I paid.
lots of green to work with
the course meanders through the subdivision of lovely homes. unless you are really wild they are pretty safe. water streams in the middle of the fairway adds to the difficulty. open fairways for the most part, and huge greens. the red tee boxes are really short only 4688 yds . hence my best score this year .
Course is Improving
Millcroft fared a little better than most during last winter and turf conditions continue to improve.
Sand traps could use a little work now that other issues have been dealt with.
