About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Downhill
This course use to be great value for the money, convenient, challenging layout.
Unfortunately even with the tain making it as green as ever, the conditions are just too poor to justify this as a top option anymore.
hard dirt in fairways, too many patches lf no grads on fairway, anthills on greens, mindfield of ball marks
on greens, and tee blocks and cart paths that are almost undriveable.
staff is nice and love the layout but will look
for other options

Excellent public course
Very friendly for beginners and youngsters. They have forward tees for juniors.
I enjoy this course very much. Greens are well kept.

Would leave 0 stars if I could
Would leave 0 stars if I could. Arrived at the course an hour early to warm up and had to wait 20 minutes for the starter to show back up at his post after watching 2 groups tee off for fun I guess. Got maybe 10 minutes of swings in before being hounded by the starter to tee off. Off the first tee the Pace of play was downright horrid and have to wait 5-10 minutes just to hit your tee shot on every hole. On the 3rd hole we complained and the elderly volunteer starter drove off to talk to a group ahead. Nothing changed the whole round and we quickly realized there is no marshal. But a random italian elderly kitchen cook decided to stop and search our bags for beers so thats lovely. For 75 dollars and riding I expect at the very least a marshal and to not be harassed and searched mid round when you have done nothing to warrant that. Dont even get me started on the 5 par 3's back to back on the back 9 holes. This golf course is being run into the ground. Much better deals elsewhere, take your money to a golf course that cares.

Starter and Marshall were very friendly but the lady in the halfway house/food area was very unpleasant. Only saw the beverage cart once… wish it had come around a few more times.
Cart paths were very rough/bumpy… if you aren’t paying close attention you can hit holes or roots that’ll send you flying.

Yikes
I haven’t played Tyin a while and we booked a Saturday late afternoon tee time. When we arrived someone was in the clubhouse bleeding because they flipped their golf cart.
We had a group pop on the course half way through that presumably just came from someone’s back yard. The course wasn’t very well maintained and due to excessive moisture the kids behind us were doing donuts on several holes with their golf cart. The also eventually flipped their cart!? Am I a prude or does that seem wrong.
We apologize for the negative experience you had at our golf course. We understand your concerns about the maintenance and the incident with the golf cart. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention.
the timing of people behind us and in front of us was very poor
people were hitting into us and we would constantly be waiting at the tee of because of people in front of us and then we would have to hurry because of the people behind us
Great value for your money!
The course was in great shape, the cart paths need some TLC. You’ll need to plan out each shot as the course will challenge you. A little disappointed that the 18th went from a long par 4 to a short par 3. Would be nice to have a beverage cart on the course. The staff were very friendly. Had a great day on the course.
