About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

good deal with cart
good deal with cart if you don’t have to drive too long to get there.

Concrete fairways
We were looking forward to playing this course but ended up being really disappointed and frustrated. The fairways were hard as a rock. Clubheads literally bounced off them and offered no forgiveness, especially for approach shots. Forget hitting a driver here as your ball bounces off the uneven fairways unpredictably.
No flat spots on any tee boxes. Balls bounced off the greens with wedges and short irons, not even leaving a divot.
We will not play here again. Many other options in the area in better condition.

Can’t recommend
Staff were friendly & helpful. Course layout is quirky, greens are difficult, sand traps are unplayable & fairways are bare (no sprinkler system).

Needs Some Work
More than half the tee boxes weren't even. Our group had a hard time finding level ground to hit our tee shots. It is October and you expect not perfect conditions, but this has nothing to do with the time of the year.
Greens condition good. Some fairways had drastic runoffs where some of our balls landed in the middle of the fairway and ran off the course out of bounds. Those holes not designed fairly.
Finished our round at 5:20pm and were told the clubhouse closed at 5pm. It was a Saturday and lot of people still on the course, not to mention no drink carts.
I give the course a 6.5 and clubhouse/bar cart/beer and food price a 1.5

First time
If you hit passed the green, you probably fell off a cliff! I enjoyed the challenge but definitely got burned for not knowing the course a time or two. Overall I enjoyed the course very much as an intermediate level player
Has Possibilities
Dollar wise, great deal. Course could be very good. Tee areas were terrible, not one even surface. The greens in good shape, but too inconsistent. One green would be so slow and the next very fast.
Our groups disappointment and times before is the lack of drink carts on the course. In 3 years never seen a cart on the back nine. Food sub par. A little work on the course, a lot of work on the hospitality side and you could have a hidden gem.

Ok course brought down by poor manners
Starter/Marshall was very rude to any beginner teeing off, harassing them to hurry up or that they were damaging the tee block. We are a group of amateurs and got told to “play faster” when the group ahead of us were beginners and we were ok to play at their pace. Won’t be returning to somewhere that disrespects their paying customers.
Extremely slow. Course filled with inexperienced golfers. Saw several examples of groups yelling at each other due to teeing off before fairway was clear. I had a ball pick up by another golfer that was just off the green. He told me he picked it up because he didn’t see me and thought it was a lost ball. It was a horrible experience and we left before finishing the round. It was taking over 30 minutes to play each hole. Tee boxes were lined up three groups deep. Avoid this course at all costs unless it is your first time golfing.
