Tyandaga Golf Course
About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Tyandaga remember when?
Tyandaga use to be one of the nicer municipal courses in the area but no more. It needs some major work if you expect people to come out.. Cart paths and general landscape repairs are badly needed. Won’t be coming back this year.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Tyandaga Golf Course, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Hello, we appreciate the review. You rated us 3-stars which means there is room to improve on your recent experience at Tyandaga Golf Course. Let us know, in the comments, how and where you would like to see changes from the course. Thanks for the feedback!
A little challenging
A little too hilly, but for the price, it's totally a steal
Worst course ever
Not maintained, weeds, extremely long grass and water everywhere. Would’ve had more fun mini putting.

We are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game, and we will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Tyandaga Golf Course. We hope to see you again soon.
Opened too soon
I am a fan of this golf course and have been for many years. It’s a quirky track and has a bit of everything. My concern on this occasion is that while we were told it was walking only due to the course conditions, we were not told we’d be walking on what was effectively a mud-water drenched sponge - there wasn't a dry patch of grass to be found. My shoes are ruined for the mud that penetrated through them completely and my clubs, covers and bag took +2 hours to get them cleaned up. I think while it would be frustrating to the operation and wanting golfers from a delay perspective, the right thing to do is close the course until its dry enough to play and enjoy. Today it was simply not enjoyable.

Unfriendiest staff I've ever seen
Guy name Jim made me feel embarrassed. Followed me to the pro shop took over the cashier and showed bad attitude towards me . He looked at my phone for payment and confirmation told me I'd have to pay . I said my round is paid already It say right there 0 due at course. He said he need another proof...made me look for other emails and Visa card. He made me feel like I didn't belong there..he said your kind not welcome leave now if you want. When I was about to start he radioed the and said I didn't pay for the walking cart. But didn't charge me when he said no power carts allowed I clearly had told him I didn't bring my cart It didn't say anywhere. Made me go back to my car and back again to pay..I told him I'll be calling the city for sure . Totally had bad experience and a worst game of my entire life.

Great Course, Extreme Delays, No Food/Drink
Always like playing at Tyandaga and brought a few friends for their first time. Never experienced the slow play from this past Saturday like I did today. Our round was over 5 and a half hours from a tee off early afternoon. No Marshall’s to be found, it was only walking but we teed off 25 minutes late and at the turn there were 4 groups lined up to go off 10. Course is always challenging and enjoyable but with no beverage cart out and the canteen closed at 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon with people still teeing off at 5 PM it was hard to make it enjoyable. I’ll be back for the course and the customer service, but I hope to see a much better pace of play and longer hours/availability for food and drink.
MUD, MUD, MUD
The course was extremely muddy, especially considering we did not have much wet weather over past week +.
When it rains course is MUD AND MUSH everywhere!!!!!!!

It's a hilly course , lets say 18000.00 steps course, had lots of wet/muddy spots from all this rain /snow we had lately, we did enjoy the round
Poor conditions and slow pace so we left after 9
Last time we played was around 4 years ago and not much has changed.. the conditions are poor and the pace of play…extremely slow. The golf was not enjoyable but rather painful so we Left after 9 holes.
