Tyandaga Golf Course
About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Great course unless it recently rained
Second time playing here this year. First time I had nothing but great things to say. Today, the course was an absolute swamp. I would have rather had the course notify us saying they’re closing for the day. It was truly unplayable conditions. Not to mention walking 18 holes when the ground has an inch of water all over it is a nightmare.
The course layout itself is great and the holes are a nice challenge but not too difficult for beginners.
If it’s raining 24 hours prior to your tee time, save yourself the disappointment and just reschedule. It’s not worth soaking wet feet, mud covered irons, and many lost balls. 5 stars for the actual course, 1 star for the experience.

Enjoyable and challenging
Great course, a bit wet in places but that’s the weather, the rough grass could be shorter, overall a fun day.
Tyandega Review
While not a bad course, tyandega is simply not well kept enough to be anything above average. The fairways aren't cut properly on many holes, there are bunkers completely overgrown by weeds and grass, and the course layout is usually uncreative (with a few exceptions). Hole 11 was my favourite on the course, there was a great view of burlington and lake Ontario at the tee, and the hole was a par four dogleg left which was very nice overall. Pace of play was also poor.. with no marshall on the course to officiate it. Average at best, and for the value there are better courses in the area.
Hi, thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Your feedback about the course is important to us. We are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game, and we will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Tyandaga Golf Course. We hope to see you again soon.
Terrible
Haven’t played in about 5years and I know why…
Couldn’t recognize where the fairways started and ended..playing partner was nearly hit by another ball …No Fore…would not play there again

Thank you for reaching out, my 3 star rating is based on your staff, there was a young gentleman that was quite rude, we had a twilight and he came across very rude when we were asked to leave on hole 17, I understand it was time but we didn't need to be treated this way. As well the fairway was absolutely destroyed, I assume that was from golfers not paying attention to the signs and requests for path only holes.
Thanks

poor course conditions
poor course conditions at almost ever hole . tee boxes all in rough shape ,greens are spotty and lots of divots not fixed. sand bunkers not groomed but rakes are there. I've payed less and got more else where.

Maintenance required
Although on the lower end of the budget, this course needs to devote more attention to maintenance. Fairways were super long, the rough just off the fairway was so thick that you could not see your ball, cart paths were a mess, fairways destroyed by carts, tee boxes were torn up etc.
We had a newer golfer in our group so the play time was a little slower. It didn’t help that the Marshall visited us every second hole which caused unnecessary pressure on the newer golfer.
On a better note, the course layout is quite fun; elevation changes, challenging pin locations, dog legs that allow you to attack the green off the tee etc. All in all, any day on the course is a great day, but with the variety of courses in Burlington/Halton, I probably won’t be back here any time soon.

Not a great course for a casual game
Had high hopes for this course for a casual game but the layout mystified us with blind shots off the tee or second shots on the fairway..
The problem I had was that the landscape rolls A LOT. It was difficult to see where the pin was after the first shot sometimes because of the steep inclines of the hills.
The grass in the roughs were also too long that even colour balls would disappear into them because they were too long. I think I lost 2-3 balls in the roughs with no fescue and trees around because they were so thick.
There are some good holes on the course but it would definitely benefit with more signage around the course to guide people around. Maybe diagrams at the start of the hole to give an idea of the design and distances to major markers to make it easier to plan shots.
