About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Beautiful and challenging
Golfing in November is a bonus either way...
The course is beautiful and plenty of rolling hills. Challenging and great distances.
The only complaint about the course itself is it can be a bit confusing at times finding the next hole as there’s a lack of signage and one hole had two greens in sight, we had to look at the score card maps to figure which one to shoot for.
There wasn’t a Marshall To keep pace as the group ahead was slow and the group behind was sitting on our heals, nor any service in sight the whole 18 holes, but it’s golf in November and can’t really complain.
Overall for the price with cart included it was a great course, can’t wait to try it in the summer 2021

Rude starter needs coaching on people skills
The starter at Tyandaga was extremely rude this morning and raised his voice at 2 young members of my 4-some over an apparent billing error.
He flagged down my son and son in law between the 9th and 10th holes and accused them of not paying, pointing, shouting, and demanding that "YOU!! Yes you!!!...Get into the pro-shop right now, cause you haven't paid...." I had already arrived at 10 as this was going on. He continued to argue with them until the pro-shop attendant confirmed that it was a different group they were looking for.
The correct approach would have been to politely ask if the gentlemen would mind presenting their receipt as there was some confusion over payment. But instead, this starter decided that it was better to yell at the the young men.
Mistakes can happen, and that's OK, but it's never OK to be rude and yell at your customers, especially when you're in wrong.
IF we decide to play Tyandaga again, I hope we run into this particular starter so he gets the opportunity to apologize.

Great Value & Beautifull & only a short drive
1st time playing. I was a little nervous due to some reviews. We did get stung with an early tee-time & a 1.5 hour frost delay. BUT, that is not their fault. Staff was friendly. Course was is decent/good conditions. Low & shadey spots were soggy & you could tell greens had a seasons worth of play on them. Really liked the layout & scenery. Would play again.
Tyandaga Golf
Hot deals offered by Golfnow includes power cart. We were informed by friendly staff that the grounds would be ruined by power carts when wet. There are very limited paved cart paths so no wonder. And if there are, they are not paved. Tyandaga is hilly with deep down & up slopes. If a senior like us have heart problems, we could have died there. Why did we play then? We drove almost 2 hours to reach the place. Besides, Golfnow will not reimburse or give credit voucher because Tyandaga was not closed that day. Greens are poorly kept. Will never play here again.
