About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Good Shape
This course can dry out fast but great shape right now and greens are in excellent shape.
Tyandaga
Had an excellent time today at Tyandaga. Played with another couple who were long time members. They were super friendly which contributed to a very enjoyable round. The course is in great shape and challenging. The only thing that needs work are the cart paths. A round of golf at Tyandaga is a great value.
Epic greens
I’m a shocking golfer so this course chewed up balls for me. Great staff, brilliant pace of play with covid rules in place. But my god the greens were TASTY ! Really nice to play this course, overall 7/10
Brutal heat on good course
Tyandaga was in very good condition and getting out was a snap even with all the pandemic protocols. Everything went smoothly, except my first few holes, from being rusty. I walked and hadn't expected it to get to 34 C before the Humidex was added on. Thankfully someone came around selling drinks.
Friendly
Staff excellent course sand traps were horrible. Greens were in rough shape.

Waiting for frost to lift
We had to wait for the frost to lift but it was ok, it wasn’t overly busy. Course was in good shape, some of the tee boxes were beat up. This course is a tricky one to play, I don’t play it well but I like the challenge. For the price I keep playing it.
Shot Makers Dream
Don't let the yardage fool you....this is not another Millcroft (short Burlington residental style of golf course)
Tyandaga demands you to play for proper landing areas on all aspects of your game!
Best advise is to swallow your pride and play to 150 yard markers and you'll enjoy the layout...especially from the fairways :)
Brad (course manager) Is a true gentlemen and it's hard to imagine a course manager, especially @ municipal course, take such pride in his guests golf experience!

some greens poorly maintained
We teed off on the back nine and the course and speed of play were fine. There were areas of dollar spot on a couple greens. On the front nine there were several greens that looked liked they hadn't been cut or the mowers had not been set properly. They were furry and uneven.

Great public course however pace of play was atrocious

Maintenance required
Ok this is a municipal course. But it is in dire need of some funding and maintenance. It is incredibly slow, there are players wondering all over the fairways obviously learning the game. Bunkers are terrible tee boxes awful some greens are ok but generally full of unrepaired pitch marks.
Interesting hole 17.
Shame the one hole number 14 is now a par 3. Looked like a nice par 4 previously.

Strange layout
Tough course when playing for the first time. Some holes with strange layouts.
There are a couple of holes that dont feel safe....people are teeing off at you when you are on the green of the previous hole.
Not a layout that I like....Good value for money but I wont be back.

The course was in great shape and the pace was good too. Greens were in great shape, tough hole placements but a great challenge. We will be back again.
