Tyandaga Golf Course
About
Tyandaga Golf Course is located in the heart of Burlington surrounded by the rugged beauty of the escarpment that encloses it. The municipal course is popular for its player-friendly layout. It has a gentle nature but it does offer a fair amount of challenges. Bunkers are strategically situated along the fairways and greensides. There are also a few ponds and a meandering stream that comes into play on several holes. One of the most difficult holes is the par-3 ninth, which features hazards along the entire right side from tee to green. It is a beastly 168 yards but par is possible. The back nine finishes with a strong hole as well. Tyandaga's tricky final hole has out-of-bounds down the right side but there is ample room down the left side for the tee shot. The deep green is sloped front to back with a bunker to the front right.

Better Value out there! This course has gone downhill each and every yr little by little.
Build houses on it and be done with it. What a joke.

First time on the course, Rained out
I got a great deal on 18 holes so I decided to play. We got rained out on the 8th hole and they would not reimburse me for the rest of the holes or rebook me in. I’m sure the rest of the course is nice though..
Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Great Value for this Challenging Course
This course continues to deliver excellent value for its price, scenery and challenging layout. With the return of good weather following our wet Spring, Tyandaga is playing wonderfully. All greens are in fabulous condition. Having played over 20 courses in Burlington and surrounding areas, this course provides that rare mix great value ($) for all levels of golfers. So glad to see the re-opening of the exacting Hole #17 with its re-designed ramp providing safer driving conditions for Tyandaga's new power cards. For those who golf with pride, you'll know when you post a good score at Tyandaga, you'll be confident you can play anywhere!!
Worst course I've ever played hands down
This course is absolute trash. Even for the price. Beer is way overpriced. The course itself is terribly maintained. There were missing tee boxes on 13. Two greens had sprinklers come on during play (around noon) and the 17th hole was closed for construction and we were not informed before tee off. Upon telling the extremely rude older employee at the pro shop we were told to basically "shut up" and that "everyone was told about 17." He then reluctantly and rudely offered us rain cheques. Would've rather had a refund and never had to return to this garbage course again. Definitely spend a bit more and play a nice course stay away from this dumpster.

Great course for the money, beautiful property.
Too many blind shots off tee though. Group behind us hit into is 3 times. Won't be back because of that. Too bad, otherwise very good course and value.

Great day for golf
It was a Great day weather wise for golf but the course was also in great shape. The pace was excellent as well as they had us well separated. We didn’t wait at any hole - didn’t see the group in front - nor were we chased from behind - didn’t see the group behind us either.
Decent track but poor management
The starter knew of course features relevant to a first time player, but needed to be asked to share them. After 9, an extra group was inserted in front of us on #10 tee, delaying our play for enough time to disturb psychic balance. Then, after that group left after 10 to play 18 (a substitute option created while 17 is being reconstructed, and unplayable), a course Marshall pestered us to increased our pace of play as there was a gap in front of us.... the same guy who’d inserted that extra group in front of us at #10! In the washroom, a sign advises pulling on the paper towel dispenser, signed The Management ... like we need an authorization to figure out how to dry our hands. “As clueless as a municipality golf course manager” might be one step above Justin Trudeau, but it’s not worth going back.

Great day of golf
Course is tight and short but challenging. Greens are a bit slow but good condition.
course is getting worse
Last year they turned hole # 14 from par 4 to par 3. Now the most challenging and exciting hole # 17 is closed, they say cart path repairs.
I will not play this course if they close or modify hole # 17.

Still Wet
As is the norm this year. Yet another water logged course. Hopefully we'll get some dry weather soon. Greens were good. Fairways soft and long. Rough was thick. Sand traps were good. Overall considering the weather it was a pretty good day.

Poor drainage made this course unplayable.
We paid for 18 holes but only played 9 holes due to course conditions. . The course was like a swamp. This course has very poor drainage due to red clay.

Tough Round
I understand it’s spring golf but this course was soaking wet all over and to make things worse the grass needs a trim. More than once today I lost a ball that clearly landed fairway. Greens are placed beside patches of grass 6 inches long or more

Tough day walking
The course was still wet from a previous downpour so it was walking only. It was a tough day walking, course is very hilly and wet conditions just added to the track. The back nine is much harder than the front which is compounded by your energy level. I would suggest taking a cart when available as it will be a much more enjoyable experience.
