Twin Creeks Golf Course
About
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the Golf Club at Twin Creeks (named after the two creeks that run through the course) to integrate with five strategically placed lakes that come into play. For the most part, the fairways here are generous, rolling peacefully toward large, undulating greens. Hole 11 is one of the best, a 383-yard par 4 with trees lining the fairway and a difficult green guarded by several giant pecan trees. No. 17, a 409-yarder with water on the right, requires a monster drive to carry the full body of water. The best play is to aim left even though the approach will be a bit longer. Golf Digest has rated Twin Creeks as high as 10th for the "Best Public Course" in Texas.

Fun course
Course is I’m pretty good shape coming out of winter. Looks like it’s set up to be really great come spring. Course layout is fun. Good mix of forgiving and challenging holes.

Great option north of Dallas
Enjoy the layout and condition of the course. It’s a fun round with enough versatility to keep it interesting. My only issues have been going from green to tee can be a challenge for someone who hasn’t been there before. The cart path goes multiple directions at times and can lead to different boxes along the way. Specifically last round, sand traps were packed and flakey to hit out of, but did notice they might be about to work on them. Range is probably above average. The staff and marshals are friendly and pace pretty good.

Course well-maintained
For early February, the greens, tees and course in general was in great shape and very playable. The staff was very friendly and the beverage cart lady worked hard to be available several times. A fun day!

This course used to be so good…
I don’t think I’ve been this disappointed in a round of golf in a long time. Twin Creeks used to be my favorite course in North Texas, no it’s over priced, overly crowded, and the layout slows everything down.
Price was $120 for a 1:21 PM tee time, we couldn’t get our cart until 1:10 PM AND the cart died on course on hole 13.
The pace was over 5 hours, the problem is regulars who think they can take 10 minutes on the green to putt everything out and mark their balls at tap-in ranges. We were a twosome and we spent more time on the tee box waiting for the slow play then we did on the hole itself.
This course used to be the funnest track in the area, now it’s not worth the time or money to play. Take your $120 and go play Heritage Ranch. We will not be back until they figure out pace of play and cost.
Friendly staff
Really wanted to like the course since it’s near home. Main building is under construction, they have a make shift eating area and pro shop; was ok. Staff is friendly and was the highlight for us. Course itself is in fair shape, bathrooms are poor, and layout/directions are poor. No map or gps, and incorrect course signage make navigation a headache.
Dissapointing Experience
My wife and I went to play a full round but ended up leaving after the first nine holes because we were honestly bored and disappointed. The course feels poorly maintained — the carts were dirty, old, and lacked GPS, and the greens were in bad shape with uneven grass growth. The clubhouse also appeared to be partially closed or under maintenance.
Not sure if this is due to community or funding issues, but paying around $100 for a round here simply doesn’t make sense given the current conditions. Hopefully management can turn things around, because the layout itself has some potential.
Fun Layout, but very overpriced
The layout and course is super fun. However, the quality of the greens is extremely disappointing for a $110 green fee. Not to mention the makeshift pro shop while the normal one is under construction, plus a make shift bar and food truck held together by a few fold out tables. Hard to walk away from the course after the round without feeling like I was robbed of $110. TLDR: I expected far better conditions for a $110 green fee.
I broke 100
Best course I played at so far. Brooke 100 here. They didn’t have iced tea or lemonade. Otherwise best course around town
