Twin Creeks Golf Course
About
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the Golf Club at Twin Creeks (named after the two creeks that run through the course) to integrate with five strategically placed lakes that come into play. For the most part, the fairways here are generous, rolling peacefully toward large, undulating greens. Hole 11 is one of the best, a 383-yard par 4 with trees lining the fairway and a difficult green guarded by several giant pecan trees. No. 17, a 409-yarder with water on the right, requires a monster drive to carry the full body of water. The best play is to aim left even though the approach will be a bit longer. Golf Digest has rated Twin Creeks as high as 10th for the "Best Public Course" in Texas.

Over booking
They done how double booked 2 big groups that were play a scramble so we were pushed from 9:36 to 9:56 and the pace of play was ridiculous. It took 3 hrs to play 9 holes, very disappointed!
Just an OK place to play.
In front of our group of 3 was a single, then a twosome, then another twosome.
They never seem to be able to group people into groups of 3 or 4, lots of waiting.
Fun course nestled in nice neighborhood
Always have fun playing here. It’s not overly difficult; just a lot of fun. Course is in decent shape for this time of year. Greens are good
Golf outing 10/30/21
This has always been a fun track to play on. Still have horrible cart paths! Also some patchiness in the fairways, probably from the freeze. I had 2 out of town friends from CA in our foursome, and they really liked the layout and undulation of the course.
Great Round
Course in good shape and although pace was a little slow it was a fun round
Poor staff experience and pace of play
My friends and I played this, and we had 5 people in our party. We booked two consecutive tee times in order to keep pace of play moving and not impact other teams. We spoke to the starter who stated that would be fine and agreed this would be better, as twin creeks is notorious for pace of play. We get to the second hole, and a second course marshall (older heavy set gentleman) comes onto the green as we are putting and begins at the top of his lungs telling us he has told us we can’t play together in a group of five. When I explained to him that we spoke to the starter, we had back to back tee times for this purpose and it was better for pace of play. I also brought up that we were on hole 2 so there was no way he could have told us twice already. He begins to shout that we can’t play together and if he has to tell us again we will be banned from the course. I told him we would split up, slow everybody down and not to worry about us being banned as we would never be back. That promise has been kept, much better courses around with friendlier staff.
Mixed feelings
First, carts are in terrible condition. I felt like the Clampetts. Every time we started the cart would lurch and backfire. You can do better than this in Allen, TX.. The course itself has a nice layout but the condition is rough. The greens were in good shape and you can tell they have worked on them. The scenery around the course is beautiful and with the right management this could be a beautiful course. Loved hole 7 and 17! Staff was very nice and gracious hosts.
