About
Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the Golf Club at Twin Creeks (named after the two creeks that run through the course) to integrate with five strategically placed lakes that come into play. For the most part, the fairways here are generous, rolling peacefully toward large, undulating greens. Hole 11 is one of the best, a 383-yard par 4 with trees lining the fairway and a difficult green guarded by several giant pecan trees. No. 17, a 409-yarder with water on the right, requires a monster drive to carry the full body of water. The best play is to aim left even though the approach will be a bit longer. Golf Digest has rated Twin Creeks as high as 10th for the "Best Public Course" in Texas.

Greens Tremendously Inconsistent
Twin Creeks used to be one of my favorite courses to play, albeit a little on the pricey side. The fairways and tee boxes are always in good shape, and this was the case the other day. However, the greens were woefully inconsistent. Several greens had different patches of grass where the greens were repaired and they were cut to different lengths making it almost impossible to hole putts beyond 6 feet.
In addition, when I checked in, I was told there was a beverage cart out on the course. We started at 4 PM and we saw the beverage cart heading in to the clubhouse. We did not realize that the cart person quit and never saw them again. It was brutally hot and we could’ve easily spent $50 to $100 in the beverage card alone. Shame on Twin Creeks for not servicing their golfing customers. It will be a good while before I’ll be back.

Decent course but slow pace of play and too expensive.
This course is in average condition for August in Texas. Ever since they redid some of the greens, they have gotten outrageous. All courses in the area stay busy, but they seem to especially stack players deep here. We waited for 2 groups to tee off on hole 10 to begin our round.

Love the layout. New greens last Summer now in good shape. Some cool risk/ reward par 4’s. Several choices of tees to choose length

Good round
Course is much improved over first time. You can tell they have done a lot of work on the course.

Very nice for municipal course
I think this course is at least 4 stars given the value. The conditions are pretty good and the greens are pretty responsive. Rey happy with pacing and overall quality.

Slow and not what it used to be
Course is just not what it used to be, but they still charge like it is. No Marshall to enforce pace of play, expect a five hour round play today and there was no car girl and the bar was closed.. on a Saturday…
Hello, thanks for sharing your feedback. I am curious to know what time you teed off on Saturday? The slowest time reported on Saturday was 4 hours and 20 minutes. Also, we apologize for the inconvenience of the bar being closed at 5PM for a private event, however we did offer F&B service at our turn window, and had a beverage cart on the course. Twin Creeks GC is in much better shape than what it used to be few years ago.
It’s been a while since I played at Twin Creeks GC. I was amazed as how much improvement was done to the course and surroundings.
Empty lots have now mentions built around.
As far as golf course is concerned,
Greens are good.
Bunkers are good.
Fairways good.
Keep your ball in fairways and you are good. And BTW, stock up fluids so stay hydrated during this Texas heat wave.
Watch out for hole 16,17, and 18. Water is magnetic.
Overall, I was pleased to play there a quick round in 4 hours.

Beautiful course with great balance between fun and challenging!
This was my first time on this course and I have to say it was a great experience. The staff was super nice and professions, the course was in great shape and the course itself is a great balance between fun and challenging. As a reference for others, I usually play bogey golf. I highly recommend this to others.

Needs more work
Better this year than previous few years, hoping (for years) this can again become the gem of Plano public golf.
General Conditions:
- Staff: very friendly but not enough staff to support the facility
- Tees / Fairways: green but hard, need to improve top dressing so grass can thrive — too much clay
- Greens: still spotty grass but improvement over the past few years
- Pace of Play; 5:15 starting on a Saturday morning. No marshall seen, only starter at first tee.
- Driving Range: closed due to picker not wording
- No water stations in July in Texas
- One refreshment cart on Saturday in July
- Cart paths and along cart paths, poorly maintained very rough
- Cart return: hugely backed up, appears someone didn’t show up for their shift (see staff)
Good people working there but don’t have the resources to do their work.

7-4-24 AM round
Greens are like a patch work quilt, poor condition for the price, or any price. Range balls completely worn out $16 for a bucket of rotten range balls is a poor value. Pace of play was good, 4 hours and 7 minutes. Too bad they can’t get this course put back together because it’s a nice layout, Shot 78 from the tips with very poor greens, will not play again this season, hope the staff is afforded the money to make this a premier course again.

Way Too Expensive
So you’re telling me i have to pay $90 to play at a golf course with cracks in the fairway, greens with ample dirt and bald spots, and carts that don’t have gps? All of the Arcis courses are terribly overpriced but this is the worst I’ve seen.
This really should be a $50 course, I would’ve been fine with that.

Twin Creeks on 2/7/24
I like this track and have played it about 5 times. Unfortunately, on this round, some of the greens needed work and several waste areas needed maintenance. I did, however, enjoy my round.

Was worth the $30 I spent to play!
The fairways and teeboxes were Nice! Greens were hit-or-miss, but even though a few looked terrible, they rolled well! The biggest issue was no Cart Girl or Water in the Water jugs when it was over 100 degrees. That's was aggregious!!
I paid $30 for the round. Even with the lack of a cart girl and a few questionable greens, it was worth it, and I would do it again. So my five stars equate to bang vs. buck. If I paid rack rate ($75-$80) for this course, it would receive 2 or 3 stars.
