Banty's Roost Golf and Country Club - Blue/Red

Played on a Friday around noon, no driving carts were available so I had to walk, but I was OK with that since I brought my own pull cart anyway. Played the blue and white courses, they were both in pretty good condition, fairways and greens were well-maintained, but if you hit a ball off into the rough tall grass you’d lose it for sure. This is definitely not a high-end premium golf course, but certainly more than adequate for a nice afternoon of golfing, especially when you haven’t played for a few Covid years.

The weather turned out great, if a bit windy. We teamed up with two other players as the play was quite slow to start. We played the 2nd nine o our own, so in the end, it took about the usual 4 hours. There are far too many dandelions on the course, so it took a long time to find everyone's balls in the short or long rough. Also the long rough needs to be mowed down more, or a lot of time is wasted.

Course needs maintenance. Greens are ok but fairways and rough needs work.

The course is an awful condition. No marshall in sight, waiting minimum 5 mins per shot while the group ahead hits two balls each. Save your money, this place is a joke and poorly managed.

Since when do you allow 5 soms on the course. Saw 2 groups of 5. Asked Marshall to investigate and although he asked them to let people play thru that’s not the answer. Starter was at the clubhouse not at the tee. Wasn’t joining groups based on the bookings. Not enough power carts, etc, etc. Clearly the owner is selling the place and is not interested in the value and experience the golfer has from playing there, just the pocket book. Even if they hired a few experienced pro shop staff things could be improved. It’s a real shame because the course has so much potential but as mentioned they have no interest in putting money into the place.

Overall it is not worth $60. Weeds everywhere, tee boxes greens fairways. Rough is not maintained easy to lose a ball when you are 10 feet off the green

more dandelions than grass. man made water hazards were dry and full of garbage. 2nd cut was too tall, if you were a foot off the fairway it was imposable to find you're ball. we have noticed that this course has gotten more neglected each year. will give it another chance next year

Good price. Tees were rough. Fairways had dandelions and greens were too hard. I wouldn’t pay the rack rate.

Nice course but a bit pricey for cart rental and beer.

Decent fairway upkeep. Below average greens and teens. Nice and open for beginners. But $80 with cart is way overpriced. This should be a $50 all in course. Friendly staff though.
