Terrible
Greens are awful, blue tee boxes were a disaster. Not enough carts or pull carts, no Marshall. Beer cans and face masks all over the course. Pace of play was awful. Took 5.5 hours to play 18 holes.
Horrible course, will never be back.
First off, we had booked a 4 some for 3:10, with a cart. We had to wait in line for a cart(which we never got), and they went by who was on the list first, rather than who had an earlier tee time. So we ended up walking, starting 45 mins later . Then you couldn’t tell the difference between the rough and the fairway. Golfers at the course were not keeping up the pace, and people were being very loud and ignorant on the course. Cart girl didn’t show up to the 9th hole, didn’t even have water. Such a bad experience, didn’t even play the last 9. The ground was also as hard as a rock. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME. I will never be back; or recommend this course to anyone. Huge waste of money.
Terrible course, over priced
They do not up keep the course. The fairway and the rough are both the same. They allow more than 4 people at 1 tee time. It is way to expensive for the condition of the course. You’ll loose a min. of 6-7 balls on the fairway. Stay far away from this course if you’re trying to have a good time
Very upsetting
Last year I was really impressed on how well the new owners were taking care of the course. Today was my first time playing this year and it was the worst experience ever. The grass was cut and lying all over ground where you could not find your ball. The weeds were so high, that all the white dandelions made it impossible to find your ball. The white and red course was terrible. The blue was not too bad. Price was way to high for this course. We paid $160.00 for two players and 1 cart. For $30.00 more, I could have played Lion Head or many other better courses.
Hopefully the pandemic hurt the course with upkeep due to financial situation. So I’m going to try again in a couple of weeks to see if they clean up the course.
Velcro greens.
First round of the year. Course not in great shape.
Don't bring white or yellow golf balls. Tons of dandelions and puffballs. You'll lose a lot of balls on fairway.
Don't bring white or yellow golf balls. Tons of dandelions and puffballs. You'll lose a lot of balls on fairway. You could literally turn your head for second and lose your golfball. Greens in terrible shape, its like they did no maintenance at ALL during the spring with no one on the course. for the $160 for wife and I including cart and taxes was NOT WORTH IT. Lucky for them it was the first game of the season after things finally opened during pandemic.
Poor maintenance
Course is neglected and it’s getting worse every year
Rough shape
This course is in bad condition. Grass is super long on the fairway and tee boxes like shooting from my backyard. Dandelions everywhere on fairways. Not worth the $80 a round.
Dec 19? Any game would be good!!!
Considering it was one of the few venues open, I loved the round.
Interesting holes, well placed bunkering.
Merry Christmas!!
God less Bantys Roost for being open on December 12th. We had a ball and all things being considered, the course was fine. Especially enjoyed the snow hazards. ;-)
Not fair
At this time of year we take our chances but we should be guided by the course owners when its touch and go that they should still be open.
There was an understandable frost delay but when we were let out on the course we found a lot of snow still around and this is something that should have been made clear at the time of paying....and at 45 for the round this was way too much for the conditions. Not happy....walked off after 9
Nov 29th is a bonus!!!
Considering the time of the year, we were pleasantly surprised at the course condition and the staff on hand were pleasant and helpful.
I know there are a lot of negative reviews but we don't understand what some people are expecting, especially at this time of the year.
Thanks Banty's Roost for letting us finish the year on a high note!
Hi there, I have a tee time Friday that I booked here but I can’t get a hold of them to make sure it’s still open after snowing today. Do you know by any chance when they planned on closing for the season?
